I was wondering how much the american dollar is worth over there?

Someone told me $6,000 over here is like 27,000 pesos over there. How much is a peso worth? Like say how many pesos does it take to buy a beer for instance?

If it's a good amount, me and some peeps are taking our pool sticks and heading that way ASAP.

Thanks, but I guess the real question is.. how much is 45 pesos over there going to get you? I can get the exchange rate pretty easily off the net.. figuring out how much that's going to get me is the problem.
 
a fish taco = 90 pesos

one dos equis = 100 pesos

i've read somewhere that on average the yearly salary in the PI is 4k a year. you do the math (if that's right that is)

i'd be more concerned with where's a safe place to stay while in the PI.

God help you if you get arrested over there. you'll be dancing to thriller for 10 years before your trial!!!!!!!!!

but for real the PI can be dangerous. all those poor people seeing you walking around like a millionaire might make you look more like a meal ticket than a tourist.

270,000 you mean.
Minimum wage is around $7 a day.
Pool rate is about P100 per hour for a nice hall.
Beer is around P30 to P50.
$10 is a good dinner for one.

I think what Joey is saying: It's triple cheap!

Sounds like paksat is taking a road trip! I'm sure with a little geographic education and some precautions, he'll safely navigate his way.

Pool rate is about P100 or about $2
Beer is around P30 to P50 about a buck

Thats pretty good. $2 and hour for pool and $1 for a beer. I heard the plane ticket will drain you pretty good. I hope to take a trip over there sometime. I would love to stay for about a month and just play all day, sets for $100 with all the monsters they have.

Just checked random flights from my area. The cheapest round trip flight was $1500 and the most expensive was $4500. Most had two connects and the average flight time was 30-40 hours total.

When I went there sometime ago, the prices are cheaper. Sometimes me and some Pilipino friends will just buy a case of San Miguel (24 bottles) for $8-9. The same beer will be $.50 for 2 star pool halls up to $1.00 to a 5 star pool halls. A 1 star pool halls or one that is just around the corner, beer is normal store price. Pool is about $1-2/hour and there are some that you pay a happy hour of $10+ 6pm to midnight. Some charges per person playing. Nice if you already knew some locals that could show you around.

I will be there in September and my flight cost me $1,050.00

My room in a 4 star hotel is $47.00 a night.

They have girls there?? I didn't know that...... :grin:

Where do you live? I am on the east coast and my prices included a connect to Chicago - Seoul, South Korea or Los Angeles - Seoul.

man if you're getting down with anyone, hooker or not, it's always safe to assume they have something.
