Yes, however the 'blame game' seems a little negative. I would prefer to say, 'We are all equally responsible.'

Everyone tries to blame something on the fact that Pro pool is not doing real well in the USA because they just can't face the reality that its simply not that interesting when compared to all the alternatives Americans have for entertainment ,, a movie made a half century has absolutely no affect in today's world

I agree. The "hustler" image from pool was not entirely the fault of The Hustler, a film made more than two generations ago.
People DO need to understand that times have changed in this country as it pertains to what is entertaining.
Asian countries tend to be a bit behind (a.k.a. follow) in terms of music, fashion, and other popular trends.
Pool is nothing more than the latest trend to be pursued.

NOT ONE person or organization is to blame for pool's current status in the U.S.
NOBODY has that power—come on now.
It's nothing more than the business cycle in an industry. Technological-based entertainment is thriving right now.
Unless someone can add pyrotechnics and/or light shows to the game of pool, I don't see the next few generations becoming attracted to pool en masse.

I agree... I don't believe that Tony does gambles either. If I'm mistaken, then there should also be a distinction between 'gambling' and 'hustling'. From what I know of Tony, he is and will always stand for what is right for pool. Listen to the interview. I think you'll find it enlightening.

I don't have anything against 'gambling' but my version of gambling at pool is actually 'wagering' between two players, who are honestly bringing their 'A' game.

That's for sure! LOL That guy needs to take off the rose-colored glasses and see the REAL world. My favorite line was when he said the players play BB because they like it, rather than because it's a paycheck! Yeah...sure they are Larry!

I absolutely didn't want to turn it off. I found it very interesting, insightful and offered some reinforcement of what I "suspected". I had my hieroglyphics therapist at my side so I had consult to read between the lines. Geez, there were so many lines you can easily read between.

IMO, the shift in pro pool is in full gear. The Cup was the big camel's straw. But it will take some time to have the green (young players) - make green.

I haven't listened to it and probably won't. I am tired of the rhetoric and when pool god appears on the scene is when I'll pay attention.

The movie "The Hustler" did more for pool than anything else in the history of pool IMO. It inspired more people to play than can be imagined. We can debate the problems with pool but there's enough blame to go around for everything.
