Racking Secrets II Now Ready

I have contacted them and they have a few left but only in Singapore, if I remember correctly....

Hijack concerning the Protector...

As for the Perfector, with a name like that I had to look it up. I may be wrong, but from the picture I saw on the link above, the Perfector looks to be PET sleeving, used in running wire bundles in various applications. You can buy it by the foot from lots of places online, and in whatever size / color you can imagine. It expands and contracts like a chinese-finger-trap... if the Perfector is hard to get ahold of or more than a buck to try out, I can cut you guys a 4" section and send it in the mail. You be the judge on whether it's the same...

Keep up the great work!

I Just ordered mine!

I Look forward to getting as much out of Vol. II as I continue to get out of Vol. I.

!!!

Here's my 10-ball racking secret; for those that don't already know it...

Many pool halls/clubs unbelievably run tournaments & other sanctioned league play, events, and even day-to-day play etc., with mismatched balls; mostly due to cleaning and polishing...

Notwithstanding, I recently examined 4 brand new sets of Aramith Tournaments & 4 brand new sets of Centennial's and calipered every ball just for my own curiosity and
found set-to-set differences of as much as a 1/16 of an inch! may as well be a mile!
Within the sets they were consistent; but apparently not from run to run...

In my experience this exponentially increases the likelihood of getting slugged or slugging yourself in a 10-ball rack; IMHO with the 9-ball and 8-ball racks they do not appear to be so sensitive to this and you can usually move balls around to solve the problem; not so simple it seems with the 10-ball rack...

My advice as obvious as it may seem; don't break or give a 10-ball rack with mismatched balls that you can't freeze up; you will regret it...
Demand a different set of balls from the tournament director or club manager, whoever is running it; and be loud and vocal about it when you do; so there is no chance of it not being taken care of and given the due diligence attention it deserves...

I would rather forfeit a match than play a 10-ball set with mismatched balls of different sizes; even if it is just one...

AND some unscrupulous types will actually swap the fricking one-ball with an odd-sized one; to intentionally create the likelihood of a slugged rack...

peace.

Totally correct and I touch upon it in the dvd. Ultimately it'll be up to the players as most room owners have slightly more important things on there minds from day day. I recommend teams get their own set of balls and regulars start some kind of cuss jar, juke box kitty or sumtin to set aside for new balls every now and again. Hate to have perfectly racked tables like we're getting now with nice new inventions only to have mismatched balls.

I want to let everyone know that EVERYONE that ordered has been shipped. Tried to get them out yesterday but had a slight problem at the printer so while I did get them out today you are all getting defective inserts, that's right there's a typo and you're stuck with it. Was gonna run a contest to 1st one that finds it but that's not really fair to my left coast players.

Thanks for all the support :)

Hey Joe, I will be ordering one...

How about emailing a PDF of the insert (with the correct spelling) so it can be printed at home on inkjet color (or B&W) printers?

Take care and have a nice Easter!

The typo is no big deal, I think I'll make you guys suffer with it and it'll be your proof that you were one of the 1st ever to own a copy ;)
but if someone wants one I can do it.
I'm getting new ones Monday I just wanted to make sure to get your orders out asap.

I received mine yesterday and watched it all the way through.. Trust me when I say this, the information that Joe presents is GOLDEN!!

I am so pleased, I feel like Joe is not asking enough for the DVD.. Get it while you can, I guarantee you'll be glad you did!

Racking Secrets Volume II. Rocks!

J.T.

I got mine yesterday also! great compliment to Racking Secrets Volume I.

As for the typo, I think most would not have noticed it if you had not mentioned it...

Personally I think it makes it more collectible as there will not be very many of those jackets around...

Content, Presentation A+, other than the twisted rack segment the video quality was first rate...

Laughed my arse off when you tried like 10 fricking times to not make the one in the side in the later nine ball segment...

I have a few questions at the moment that came to mind after watching it once last night; that others might have as well.

1. What size were/are the corner and side pockets on that table?
2. What kind of cloth were you using? it looked like just plain felt and not SpeedCloth or 860.
3. Has that Gold Crown been Diamondized? with Artemis Intercontinental cushions?
4. Is that GC a full-size 4-1/2x9 (50x100) or a pro/super 8?
5. Would you prefer a Gold Crown over a Diamond if somebody was to give you a new one for nothing? Why?
6. Which Ball Set/Manufacturer were you using? Do you have a personal preference, given the choice?
7. Is it my imagination or are you not breaking as hard as you did in Volume 1? what I mean by that is you appear to be breaking better in Volume II than I; but you appear to be doing better with less effort and less full body action.
8. Which is your personal favorite rack to use at this time? Slug Doctor, Magic Rack or ?
9. I have been using the Delta-Elite triangle for a while and seem to get decent & consistent racks; I know a lot of the pro tours and players are still using the Delta-Elite; what is your opinion/comparison of the Delta-Elite vs. Slug-Doctor/Magic Rack or?

Keep up the great work!

Received mine yesterday as well. I haven't gotten all the way through it yet, but I had no idea that the 10-ball rack was so predictable. Seems like pattern racking in 10-ball is fairly important. This video, as well as vol 1, are WELL worth the money.
