Radial screw??????

Your guess is as good as mine, I think if the joint is fully connected the energy transfers on the outside of the cue anyways. If there is a flush connection I would think the pin length would have more to do with it since it would hinder the cue flexing at that point.

But I am far from a phycisist (shoot, I can't even spell it) or engineer.

Thats why some believe you get more action with less effort with a cue that has a G10 pin...it will flex in harmony with the wood.

You givin' away too many secrets there bud. :D
Btw, all BALL screw with no barrel can still be had.
You just have to know where to look.
Blud's pin is around .345 iirc.
Balls screws are .370 or so at the barrel but comes in G10 now which as Varney mentioned flexes.
edited-my bad, thnx Steve~

Stop using the name Radial for knock off's. Uni-Loc is threating to shut down some of them because people are using their name. Don't care if you use them or not, just don't use the name, so the knock off's stay in production. Can't patent a thread design, but you sure can get a trademark on a name. And a design patent on a nose with a center in it.
Just a heads up. I'm sure cueman will agree.

They can call it what they want, as long as Tom makes it, I'm buying.

> How many variations are there? I'm talking in the threads themselves,I can't see how the shape of the end and whether it's radiused, flat with a chamfered edge,or bored on the tip and inlayed makes any difference. I have yet to see one that wasn't centerdrilled though. Does the length of the threaded section make any difference? I've seen some that look to have about a 1/2 unthreaded register on the end,and other that were threaded all the way. Tommy D.

two variations in threads, the other is a 3/8X8, the long bull nose was done for the cue makers who have their named engraved into the pin, the short bull nose was the standard before. Most Cuemakers cut the long bull nose if it's not engraved because it doesn't look good.
