The best idea...........quedup said:Hey Adam, I agree completely with having the raffles in there own section. The notion that they will be in some obscure section is unlikely as AZ has added many features in the past and most have been accepted and used so I see no issues with it.
Good Idea IMO,
Dan
The raffle threads do not belong in Wanted/ForSale section as they are not sales.... they are raffles.Pii said:How about anti raffle people stop posting in raffle threads
Maybe we neeed a anti raffle complainers section
I agree with you. The wanted/for sale section is very cluttered with raffles and threads that should be in other sections.ribdoner said:It appears some people enjoy selling/being via raffles. I'm happy if your happyand I would never suggest wiping front to back or vice versa , HOWEVER, some of the hot raffle threads have been bumped apprx. 20 times per day as a result of inane banter between the OP and "number" buyers among other communication. As a result sell/buy threads are pushed down the que and off of the "front" page very quickly minimizing their potential.
If raffles are here to stay (IMHO they should be, unless........) they should have their own forum so some semblance of order is restored to the "for sale" forum.
Your input is appreciated

I am sick of people that break the law telling others what to do. As I see it, rafflers have NO RIGHT to tell anyone on this board squat!
STOMP OUT RAFFLING! I am beginning to like that stance best of all.

I grew up tending to an 85 yr old black lady named Clara Best who lived in a ramshackle 70 year old garage apartment behind the apartment complex my parents managed for a very wealthy lawyer. Her rent was $35 /month until we started managing the complex and we got the owner to drop her rent completely. I made it my job to check on her every day and go to the grocery store whenever she would let me to save her from having to go out. I sometimes would go and sit on her bed with her and watch TV with her to keep her company. She even had a pet white chicken she kept in a big cardboard box in the apartment. Thanks for reminding me of my childhood upbringing. When I gre up the N word was everywhere.... we referred to African Americans as Negroes back then. Those were some great times with real honest hard working law abiding people. You don't know me at all.The King said:Wow I bet you said the same thing about black people too...
That makes absolutely no sense at all.The King said:Wow I bet you said the same thing about black people too... They have no business telling us what to do ... Use the same bathrooms as us or doctors and dentists or even come in through the front door ... Excuse me but this really makes you look bad ....

The King said:The way I read the post is that because I support raffles auctionguy feels I have no right to an opinion or to say anything about them... As auctionguy says.
"As I see it, rafflers have NO RIGHT to tell anyone on this board squat!"
Funny that you don't see the comaparison ... It is what the black man was told for years ... you have no right to vote .. You have no right to have a say in anything ....
Again if you don't see the comparison I'm sorry but to me I see it and feel it ...

How about a new forum area "Cue auctions, trades, etc. " ??
They won't be condoning anything like raffles and it could be a place where major bumps for auction bids, r signups, and trades could take off.
I have 5 cats I take care of so I know there are numerous ways to skin a cat.

Rocket354 said:Did you read my reasoning? Would you like to respond to my reasoning? They may die off anyway, but banishing them to some distant part of the board with lower traffic, and less appeal to new traffic will definitely have a negative impact on them. And they are very popular at the moment, both with buyers and sellers.
