Hello AZer's,
I'm making available a very collectable Gus Szamboti cue.
This is an earlier work from the Master. Barry puts the year from 1973-1976.
It has very prominent old school Bushka rings above and below the wrap.
The thick phenolic bands and the large maple block rings are early techniques used by Gus. Makes for a very Rare unique look on this beautiful Szamboti.
The veneers are Black, Orange, pale Gold and White.
The cue is 58" and weighes 20.0 -20.1, and has 2 beautiful straight 13.1mm and 13.25mm original Gus shafts.
This cue has been fully authenticted by Barry Szamboti.
It has an older looking patina, BUT.. Barry has indicated the cue has an older refinish job done to it, not known by whom. There is some finish lifting at the rings.
This cue plays absolutely incredible, and is certainly a looker..
