A NEW SET OF RAILS will have a new set of sub-rails and cushion.
You think if some sent his Red Label tops to Diamond have them refurbish it, they'd just install new Artemis without redoing the subrails ?
What are you busting my balls for?
I was simply detailing what the actual technical issue with Red Label Diamonds is.
I could literally give two shits whether someone else fixes that issue by paying a table mechanic to re-miter the rails, or whether they buy a whole new top from Diamond.
Me PERSONALLY, I'd rather pay a well-reviewed table mechanic to fix the issue at my house,, rather than pay Diamond more money to fix a poorly-designed early product. If the cost was fairly equal, I'm going with the table mechanic option (as long as they have references for this particular work), as a matter of principal.
Realkingcobra re-mitered a set of Red Label rails at my house, and I am very sure they will play just as good as paying Diamond to ship a whole new top to my house.
And no one has clarified the main question: What gets done with the old Red Label top? Does Diamond allow one to trade them in? Or are they just firewood?
