George Fels has agreed to do commentary? This is an opportunity for me to pick up on some cool lines and prescriptive straight pool protocol. AND, I get to pull for my AZB buddy Luigi. ;-)
I just spoke to George Pawalski from Wisconsin. He is a 200 ball runner. He will be there to spectate and kibbitz with George F and Freddy.
Dennis, are you privy to why George and George are not playing? I don't know the 2nd George, but G. Fels is an acknowledged 14.1 guru and 100 ball runner. Why ain't he playin'?
Lou Figueroa
GF has a bit of a bad back. In our leagues we would let him play just one match instead of two. A few years back I know he was playing in tournaments, but I am not sure that his back can handle a full day at the table anymore. I did hear he had another hondo about a month ago.
GP is an elder statesman of the game as well, but I bet he could still put a whupping on some of us 50+ year old whippersnappers.
p.s. Are you going to see Dallas when you are in town. I was thinking of seeing if he wanted to come by.
George thanked me for thinking of him.
Later, he said he would need at least one Angus Burger from the Red Shoes Kitchen in order to keep up his strength.... And a Cherry Cheese Kringle to be delivered by Frank "Sailor" Stellman of Racine. Sailor is a straight pool legend in the Midwest.

dennis, thanks for the updates!
You're very welcome. This will be a great event and we are looking forward to doing the streaming.
All matches played on the feature table will be recorded and archived on ustream. I'll also be recording to the computer hd and a standalone dvr.
Steve
Thank you Dennis for asking us to stream your event.
As some you may know Mi_Billiards has been streaming 3 cushion events for the past couple of years and we are looking forward to live streaming this 14.1 event. Of all the pocket games 14.1 is my favorite so this will be a treat.
I understand that Dennis is trying to line up some top notch commentators, I'm sure he will keep us updated.
You will be able to view the live stream at our website and we are working on having score results on the same page. (below the video window)

I'm just the guy behind the cameras and computers but I'm sure that idea will be brought up in conversation. :yeah:Steve I see Lou Figueroa signed up to play !
You should get him in the booth for commentery. I'm sure all the azers would like to hear from Lou and put a face and voice to the famous azer !
We will be arriving at Red Shoes about 2:00 PM EDT and will be attempting something a new for us live stream.
Stay tuned for a stream from a totally different point of view. Should be interesting or at the very least, unusual.

Well, for me it is now time to get back to packing the gear, loading it all in the van, followed by the 3 hour drive to Red Shoes.
See you there.
Steve
Thanks to Steve and Curly for helping promote our game of 14.1
Also thanks to Pat Fleming for putting a link to the coverage on his accu-stats site. http://www.accu-stats.com/

Hey D,
Pat gave you a special shout out last night after the Hopkins challenge match... He thanked you personally for all that you do for the game !!!
Steve
Freddy the Beard was there playing banks and testing his vocal chords on the front table. I forgot to tell him the stream is meant to be PG. I better remember tomorrow.
Later, 14.1 Addicts. Time to get some sleep.
That's nice. I wish I could have heard it but I was playing my League match at the IBC. To have Pat Fleming mention my name is an honor. And to have him put our event on his website and send the link out to his customers is also appreciated by me, John Lavin of Red Shoes and everyone else involved in the event -----snip-----
