I don't believe there words to describe the comedy gold that is "Eddie Wheat". I wouldn't even believe he is a real person if not for the fact a few respected members claim to have met him. He comes across like a Travis Trotter of cue makers.

That $150 GC was truly the icing on the cake. Wow. Genius...

In the pictures I wondered where the other 5 points were hiding. How would you like to be up with EW on a pool score an Eddie was taking care of the money an you won a $1000. After Eddie figured it up wonder what you would owe him?
There are people in this world that just can't do right. Eddie is one of them. Eddie you have some people snowballed an I can't figure out how.
Eddie is not a nice guy, just another nutt trying to store up squirrels for the winter.

As much as I hate to be sucked into this mess, I have only one question, and it goes to Mr. Wheat. I think this is one of those times you should have tried to look at this from Charlie Edward's point of view. So I guess my question is, how would you have felt about all of this, if you sent Charlie the cue first, and then he waited 7 months to pay you, and then only gave you a portion of what you asked for, in terms of payment! I'm not a hater in any of this. Charlie, you conducted yourself like a gentleman. Eddie, you need to re-think your business practices, before you haven't any business to consider. JMHO! Take it for what it is worth.

I'm sure I measured the cue correctly because you stressed upon me the criticalness of the cue being a max 58"... if I screwed up I am very sorry becasue I did that with a previous customer due to case length restrictions and didn't include the j-pin length in the measurement !

So once again please check the box at the end with the duct tape and let me know the status !

A $150 gift certificate? Are you frickin' serious?? A gift certificate isn't a refund. A refund is when you return what was given to you. You should be refunding him real money by money order, and especially when he has already made it abundantly clear that he will never do business with you again (which even you should be able to understand and accept why).

You should refund the entire purchase price of the cue at this point. You shouldn't even be considering giving anything less than a 50% refund, as that is just further insult.

You should also be making him two new shafts (or even better three) of the correct length and other specs and sending them to him within the next two weeks at absolutely no charge. Show us how "very sincere" you really are.

Is Eddie totally normal, as in balanced, as in having his head screwed on straight?

It's one thing for him to be a poor businessman, it's quite another to think people won't see through all his weaselly statements, and more than statements, behavior.

I wonder who he's planning on voting for in the presidential election, if he's voting at all, and why he's voting for them. It would be interesting to know.

I have never been one to questions how someone runs their business over the internet, but this gift certificate is just a shameful act.
How could you in your right mind think this would be a good idea?
I have never made a negative statement about anyone on this forum but you really crossed the line with your actions.

Since he lives in Florida, not much chance of that. On the other hand, I heard just the other day that voter turnout in Cook County, Illinois, might hit 140% this year :eek:

You had one of the most respected members of the forum convinced that you were ok and he went way out of his way, and way out on a limb, to try to help. (sorry you have to endure the embarrassment David... and the real loser will be the one who, somewhere down the road, needs and really does deserve your endorsement, but you may be very leery of going out on that limb again, after being singed this time)
