Regarding Charlie Edwards Cue !!!

There have been several very thoughtful cuemakers on this forum that offered to build a cue for me, fee of charge. For those offers I'm very appreciative. But I could never accept something like that. That just wouldn't be me. I wouldn't feel right getting something that I didn't pay for.

As far as working with Eddie again... that's not going to happen.

All I want now is to have absolutely no contact with EW. Not by letters, emails, PMs, phone calls, or carrier pigeons. I'd like nothing better than to forget this whole bad deal, and relax and enjoy life.

One other thing. Before the cue arrived (and at that time didn't look like it ever would) two members offered to send me some money to help what looked to be a total loss for me. I had to turn down those offers, too. Those offers of help meant more than I can describe. They have my utmost thanks.

I've never heard of a cuemaker or craftsman who couldn't count or measure.

I'll stop leaving little smart remarks when EW sends Charlie his $150 in cash. I think when that happens, the thread will end. Otherwise, let *THIS* be (grabbing crotch).

And just for the record I sold that cue to you for 550.00 originally becasue of a slight runoff in one of the points that I wasn't completely happy with and you wanted an extra shaft w/ ivory built and that brought it right back up to 700.00

Regardless of the after the fact details... you still got one hell of a deal and just to show that I do like to make my customers's happy... I WILL build you another cue at NO CHARGE and verify the entire length at 58" !

I'm sorry if I made the length mistake ! It's always posible considering the various numbers I'm working on with custom orders at the same time but still doesn't make it acceptable !

My concern is with MY customer and as far as what everyone else has to say about this deal is irrevelant to me I won't even read the posts and others can trash me all they want...I care about my customers remarks only ! and since I do have a customer base now and are building from there they are my only interest at the moment !

Yes I made a few mistakes and errors.. so be it ! I'm willing to stand by them and rectify any diputes regarding them !

As I said before... I will be building cues for many years to come and are becoming more and more efficient as time goes by and the world of AZ is only the initial test market for me so that I can make any adjustments and work out the bugs before the main launch !


Let me know if you would like me build you a replacement cue becasue it bothers me that you are NOT 100% satisified with my work !

Wow, STFU with the exclamation points! You don't need to type it at the end of every sentence! See how annoying the message comes across as!?!?

I was one of the handful of members that gave you the benefit of the doubt! You and your exclamation points no longer have a place here! When you only have a couple of orders and you're already screwing up on measurements and points, it's time to move on to a different business!

Yes I need address as well to forward my pupil recognition results. Wouldn't want my cue to come not as described, like 8 months late or too long.

The butt should measure 57-3/4" from edge of j-collar to edge of butt plate and the shafts should be exactly 28- 1/4" long... due to capped ivory ferrules I added in to make up the difference on the butt shortness..

There is just one more thing about this cue order... and then I'll hush.

At this point in time it makes absolutely no difference because the ferrules had to be cut off anyway to shorten the shafts, but I ordered OPEN END ivory ferrules, not capped.

I don't want to start a debate about which is better or more proper. Just wanted to set the record straight as far as the order goes, since Eddie Wheat kept pounding us with the fact that he built it exactly like the customer wanted it.

Now I'm out of here, hopefully!

Charlie, I think I can speak for just about everyone here, (and if I'm wrong, I'm gonna hear about it). You don't have to HUSH.
You're the patron saint of all cue buyers, and Eddie is the worst example of a cuemaker there is.
Until he's smothered in RED, this place ain't going away. Sit back and enjoy. (we just need to reload after round 1)
