Rhino CF shafts....159bux, free ship

Thanks for that info. I thought you got to pick either a soft or medium tip installed on the shaft, but as you explained you get a free gift of an extra tip of your choice: soft or medium. As for the website saying that a medium tip comes installed, I'm not seeing that:

I've been looking at the Nebula full carbon cue, and it says the same thing for the tip, and it doesn't provide a choice for a tip.
It wouldn't surprise me to find the website has been changed to align with actual offering.

This ain't some dude working out of his shop for a couple hours a week after his day job

I cannot believe how effing excited I am for this. Prolly because I don’t think it will fit.

looks like they changed the wording about tips compared to what I remember seeing in the past.

AFAIK the 'free gift' is the tip of your choice, soft or med. I don't think you get another tip, maybe so idk. I went for the med. and it plays super.

I've got my same issue with rhino that has prevented me getting a revo so far. The cue I want to use it on is 5/16-14 flat faced, and these have a pilot.

I asked about 29" and flat faced, they said they couldn't do anything about the pilot, but could do the custom length for $25 more.

Anybody ever just chuck the shaft in a lathe and machine off the pilot so the shaft is flush? Is that possible?

Pretty simple job if you have cuemaker/repairman nearby.

This can be done on wood shafts. Not sure why a qualified repairman could not face it off with CF. Simple procedure.
