They just told me they make a 22mm diameter shaft. Turn down the 5/16-14x and Bob’s your uncle!!!!

LOL. Hope it works out. I wasn't sure about mine either so I brought it to a hardware store and made sure...it was also 3/8x10 like yours (hopefully)
Just gives you an idea of how bad the 'big boys' are stickin it to everybody. No reason other than greed that cf shafts should sell for 300+.

Just have a proper insert made.
Even better, save money and make the insert yourself!

Thanks, Mike. I assume I can have a competent cue mechanic retrofit what they send me? I think they used to sell that Schuler insert out of Connecticut Cue Parts, but they were out of stock last I saw.
How about you and Webb iron this out so I can send him my next shaft for the schuler conversion?!?!

Especially when i can buy blank tubes for $50-80.
I've said this a few times i'm sure there is only a few manufacturers of these tubes almost all of these makers have shafts very simular in size.
I think they dabbled but the Schuler joint screw isn't really a 5/16x14. It's much smaller.

The top of the heap has always been predator, in both price and deflection. The thing is no brand has yet to match their low deflection. Both in the 314/z days and now in the Revo days. That’s since 1994! If it was so easy everyone would have by now. That’s worth a premium to me. And apparently many of the local players.
the difference is tiny. you wanna pay 250bux for such a tiny diff go ahead. and other shafts have reached same defl levels. the ob classic+ i had was as low or lower than a 314. this rhino is as low as a cynergy or a 12.9 revo i tested. Predator doesn't possess some kind of black magic.
Coming from maple, I first tried the Revo 12.9.
It was my 1st real LD shaft. I then switched to Cynergy, then the Revo, then back to the Cynergy.
At first, I felt it deflected a bit more than the Revo but later found that it was in my stroke.
A Cynergy, hit with a smooth, accelerating stroke, has virtually no deflection. The only difference in the two to me was
the Cynergy lacked the plink sound and felt a bit more like maple than the Revo.
There is a young guy at a local room who shoots with a nameless, mystery CF shaft and that thing plays every bit as well as the big names.
He doesn't know what it is but they could outsell the Rhino if they are similarly priced and did some advertising.
The point is Predator may have been the first, but the LD market is now "open source".
With a hidden label and wearing headphones, I could not tell the difference between several of the good ones out there today.

My 12.4 radial came today. I’ll make a video later, but it is really, really good. I was making just about every shot. So it’s either about the same as a Revo, or super close, in the deflection department. Everything else about the stick was good.
Just the tip is a mile long. Ha ha.
