Rick Chudy/ what do you think of this design?

LOL to tell ya the truth I have no clue where this thread even came from or what the original point was, talk about a tangent LOL. I may have to go back and reread it to gain some focus. LOL that's funny. Why am I even here?

Don't fall over here, but on this I agree with you. The thread started out innocently enough with Bill posting a RC3 cue that he happened to like very much, with a sale pending on. Basically the cue was sold. A few 'I like' comments, some 'I don't like so much' comments...pretty normal stuff.

Where in the world the thread ricocheted at...well, I'm still scratching my head on that one. The only real point I was trying to make here is this:

It is, for whatever reason, basic human nature for people to stress on the negative far more than the positive. The negative always gets the attention it shouldn't deserve. Disparaging remarks don't just hurt those that they are made about, but tend to hurt those that made them as well. No good can ever come of it.
Now, I don't go through the world wearing rose-colored glasses, but...if a negative thing is to be said in a public forum, then one better have the facts to back their butt up, and be ready to produce them upon request...or leave it at the door, so to speak. It's something that can't be taken back once it's out there.

Negative threads here tend to proliferate quite well, while positive ones tend to wither on the vine. It's a shame, but it's just the way it is. I was brought up with 'if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it at all'. I try really hard to live by that. Sometimes I fall short, but, for the most part, I stay within those guidelines. Some might perceive that as me being an a$$-kisser. Boy howdy, anyone who knows me personally knows I am far from that!! I recently took on some league officials here locally, because they did not want to follow certain rules voted in by the general membership because 'they didn't like them' and they had their own agenda. But I had the facts, in hand, to back myself up...as a result, those officials were ousted.

Silly as it may seem, I still believe one person can make a diffference.

it's because positive posts are assumed and really only end up as back-patting, and don't bring light to anything. "mr.x is a good guy, and all will be well when you deal with him." ok,,,fine. you heard one, you heard them all.

it is imperative, imo, that any negatives be stated for the edification of anyone who intends to deal with mr.x....call it a word of caution. and without overblowing it, it is right to harp on the negatives

Only if the negatives are true. To be honest, I have had it with having to answer stone cold lies. Mark has dealt cues since 1976 or so and IMHO I don't think or believe for a second that he told someone to hit some balls, or hang a wraped shaft and told them it would straighten out. To make it even worse, I have to ask.. Bill, (if he said that) did you believe him? I mean really. (I have a good idea where this is coming from, and I don't believe its Bill) To top it off, he continually tried to get more deals to flip to Mr. W. Bill also fabricated the sell price, the buy price and every damn thing he said. Just for the record.. we had it on SALE for 4250.00 and I know it sold for around 3700-4000 give or take a few dollars.

You are a flat our liar...

Bill..."wobbled and mark told me to hit a couple racks with them and hang them up for a few days and that would"

Nothing more to say....

Joe "Classiccues".. see the sig.. its always been Pooltablemagic.com once the squatter gave it up.. you are an idiot, plain and simple. You talk about things you have no inkling about and its pathetic.

...as far as newsgroup ettique and not posting e-mails this has always been debated.... but in the instance of a businessman flat out lying, to prove the person a fraud and to warn other people, all goes. If you want to make it "proper" just post.. "I have an e-mail from xxx and its very different than his post, please e-mail me for a copy"

JimBo sez: "Also I may point out in dollar amount Bill's deals far out weigh yours."

This was the comment that was perhaps the most ridiculous. So, the opinion of someone who spends say $200.00 on a cue has less validity than the opinion of someone who spends say $2000.00 on a cue?

Using this rationale then, one could say that the opinion of cuemakers who use CNC has less validity than that of cuemakers who do all their work by hand!

Gotta throw the bull$hit flag on that one!!!

Actually...I am better off with the Ignore list on this one. I am at this point far too tempted to start trading barbs...and I really do not want to go there. I, too, am only human, and admittedly this time, have let him get under my skin. I am on about 4 days of the flu...whole friggin' house has it...and my buttons are far too easily pushed right now. I guess sleep depravation will do that to you. I'll very likely change it back in a few days, when I am not quite so vunerable and easy to bait. I was probably wrong to add my last comment, and for that I will apologize. I just don't even get his logic sometimes. I would really prefer to banter than barb. Thanks for calling me on it.

crazy

 Are you guys ****ing crazy. So the guy sells cars, who give a ****. Let me guess Jim, your one of those genious guys that know everything. Jack of all, master of none. I can't believe it, a guy puts a few pics up of a awesome cue and every sincle ass hole *****es about it. You know, if I had 3k-4k in a cue I would want to promote the cock sucker to. It is an awesome cue and no it's not my exact taste, yes I to like more traditional style cues. But holly shit!! you guys are worse the beauty salon. Just listen to yourselves. Your all a *****es. 20 post to sell a cue at least, shut the **** up!!! I just sold two cues of here and I did not consult the all wise Jim or whoever the hell he is. I believe that most of you guys are good people. But let me leave with saying this. Take a hard look at yourself, yet he with out mistake among us cast the first stone. Shut up, encourage people and take the high road!!!!!!

The problem is here's where we disagree, to me the good stories don't need to be shared, they should be expected. I don't have to hear that you bought a cue and are happy with it, I expect you were happy and everything went well, because that's how honest people who own businesses should do things. What I need to know is the bad stories, as I've already said I can tell a lot more about someone by how they act in adversity. If you don't have anything nice to say... is bullshit and the last line of your post makes my point, if you just shut up and didn't call the local officials on their bad behavior they'd still be there breaking rules and ripping off others. But you spoke out and did the right thing, others could have told you to shut up because they had no problems with the officials in the past, but you didn't care. So to me your words don't match up. To me good or bad makes no difference as long as the details are honest and the story is told factually.

How so?? I never stated facts since it doesn't involve me, I even added that to the point. She had 1 good deal and *according to Bill* he had 2 bad, to me that's double, where is the lie?

Bill..."wobbled and mark told me to hit a couple racks with them and hang them up for a few days and that would"

Nothing more to say....

Again you're so caught up in me that you're somehow trying to use Bill's story against me?? how does that work, I have no clue what MK told him and unlike you I wouldn't try to debate a conversation I had no knowledge of.

Joe "Classiccues".. see the sig.. its always been Pooltablemagic.com once the squatter gave it up.. you are an idiot, plain and simple. You talk about things you have no inkling about and its pathetic.

LOL still mad that you tried to back pedal abd got caught Joe?? LOL it's funny how it's you until Bill had a problem and then you kept saying he never dealt with you (Joe) LOL with the Joe in parenthesis.

...as far as newsgroup ettique and not posting e-mails this has always been debated.... but in the instance of a businessman flat out lying, to prove the person a fraud and to warn other people, all goes. If you want to make it "proper" just post.. "I have an e-mail from xxx and its very different than his post, please e-mail me for a copy"

I agree with that style, but I have always been against the posting of private e-mails in a public forum, and I stand behind that. You've known me a long time and I've had plenty of chances to bury JCB with them and never did.

I believe what I typed to be accurate. First off he had 2 bad dealings (according to him) to your 1 good one, that's double. His dollar amount was closer to 7 k and yours was 2k if you don't feel there is a difference there then I am sorry. I never said your story didn't have validity. It's just that in life there are different levels and your level was a bit below Bill's (according to him). I really believe you had a good experience as I've already stated so have I, but neither story has anything to do with this one. If someone rips off another person it doesn't matter how many people claim that they didn't get ripped off, the fact that the one person did remains the same. So the thing about this is if Bill is lying or not, not how well your deal went. I know you want to be a part of it and play a role, but honestly it has no bearing on what's being discussed here.

I agree with Bob, to bad he can't see me now LOL. Ignore me. BTW Bob thanks for adding to this thread your post was very informative. Also just to inform you, cues aren't part of my "no life" all I have is my computer. Just trying to clear that up for you.
