RIP Brendan Crockett and his brother Jeff.

This shot-

I remember my first SBE I played Brendan. He must of been 14 or something at the time. I remember it because he was this scrawny little kid. He showed up. Hit a bank shot and kicked the cue ball around a few rails and said he was ready to start, and than preceded to beat the brakes off me. But we were joking the whole time. Good kid sad ending

I included this scene of Brendan smiling at the table-captured at the SBExpo.
You'll recognize the background-, he comes in at minute 1:51

Sad to hear. Back when we had an AZ room at the Derby, I sparred with Brendan for a couple of hours. Enjoyed his company and was impressed with his game. I believe he was 14 at the time. Condolences to his family and friends.

Very sad news. I sometimes think how lucky I've been on the road especially when I was young and drove far too aggressively at times. Could have easily been me that died young in an accident- not saying it was Brendan's fault- I don't know the full details of the crash- just a general thought

To Brendons mom and dad, there are no words to describe what you're going through every second of your lives right now, I know what you're going through having lost my 17 year old son Feb 8th, 2014....if either of you need someone to talk to, call me 702-927-5689

I directed a tournament at Sal Butera's pool hall in Moorpark, CA seven years ago when Brendan was 14. His enthusiasm for the sport was infectious. He loved talking to the good players about the game and how to do this shot or that. He played remarkably fast and his stroke was simple and pure. He had already mastered the jump shot. He got down on himself when he missed but you could tell he was in control of his emotions. You knew he was going to get better every day.

Brendan won that tournament.

If there is a heaven, you can be assured Brendan is on the table with Willie Mosconi pressing him for tips on how get better.

Prayers & Condolences to William Crockett & family. Sorry for your loss...

Rest In Peace... Jeff and Brendan Crockett

I have built several tables for Brendan over the years. I remember how excited he was when I delivered his Diamond pool table, he was about 13 years old. Throughout the next few years I worked on his pool tables several times. He grew like a weed. Great Kid. RIP Brendan.

Sad beyond words. The third time a terrific young man and pool player has been lost this way. Chan Witt, Jason ? (from the Midwest, sorry his name escapes me at the moment) and now Brendan. I don't know the circumstances of this accident, other than what has been written here.

I had a very close call as a young man when I feel asleep driving my Corvette. I was on a non stop trip from Oklahoma City to Dayton. I started getting sleepy about 100 miles out and tried to fight it off. Fifty miles later (close to home!) I drifted into the center divider at 70 mph. My car spun three times in the middle of the highway and ended up going straight and I was able to get off the road. The left front of my Vette was torn off but I was okay. I got lucky and never drove while sleepy again.

If you're ever driving and feel sleepy, PLEASE get off the road and drink some coffee or take a nap in your car.

The kid from the Midwest I believe was Tyler Strawn.

I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine how tough it must be.

To the friends and especially parents of these two kids, my heart goes out to you.
