I think he broke a cue over someone's head in a movie once.;)

Sad to hear, especially from prostate cancer - which is largely treatable if caught early. I lost my Dad and Grandad from it many years ago.

Dennis was a unique bird, no doubt. He shot some films in Wilmington, NC and rented a house in my old club (Country Club of Landfall). He wasn't very good at golf, but he had a passion for it. One time he brought this gal to the club. I swear she was a good foot taller than the diminutive man. I imagine she tore his little arse up!

RIP Dennis!

R.I.P. Dennis - i am gonna sit down and Watch Easy rider tonight in his memory. he was a true Film Icon !!!

Just channel surfing a couple of days ago, and settled in to watch the last half of "Speed"... Hopper was so good in that, it being a silly popcorn mvie and all, he made the film worth watching.

Him And Gary Coleman, who will be the third? Don't they always go in threes?

RIP Dennis.

His famous 'True Romance' Sicilians scene is the one that stands out for me.

RIP. He definitely lived life on his own terms. I had a chopped '59 Sportster when Easy Rider came out, and I connected with his character right away. Always liked everything he played. The world could use more of his kind, nonconformists, and is lessened for his loss. RIP.

"get your motor runnin'...head out on the highway..."

yea a few months back when i found out about how he was sick...they had a pic of him just the year before, and i thought well he looks pretty dam good for his age, then i saw the recent photo.....it was shocking how much he deteriorated.
