Just received word this morning that Jimmy Mataya passed. What a loss to the billiard community. Love him or hate him, Jimmy was the epitome of an entertainer and an extremely talented player. RIP buddy!

Yeah the video indicates he won tournaments the year I was born and I feel old sometimes. He put a few miles on the odometer too. I wish I met him. RIP.

And I will probably watch the video where he hustles Danny Medina again. Early home video at its best. May they both RIP
