It's 2009 Again

Same old, Same old. Not my fault and no apology due. What is wrong with people today? I didn't read anywhere that RKC didn't owe the money so PAY THE MAN. If RKC had a beef then call the Dr and work it out, if not, PAY THE MAN. I would much rather deal with a good person who will probably be a good mechanic because he is a good person than a good mechanic who may not be a good person. Anyone who believs he is irreplaceable is a fool

The situation as a whole could have many missing pieces not aired out here, that's that fine. To me, the problem is the way he is treating people. And it will effect his business.

It affects nothing. He's the best and people who have dealt with him say to a man he's a great guy except for 1 person. And he already did my table so I don't have to kiss his ass. He'll be as busy as he wants to be for life.

So....what you're saying is that the 170 or so table owners that are waiting on me to work on their tables will drop to what....150...maybe 145 or so?...Hmmm....ok, maybe I'll run out of customers in a few years or so then....but only if I start doing bad work I'd bet, and not because of shit like this, and ex-customers that never was like you:wink:

Right now I"m in Houston, TX dropping off 5 Valley 8ft coin-operated pool tables I donated to the Texas school system, then off to Diamond by thursday morning to load up and take off to Atlanta, GA to deliver 16 Diamonds, then back to Diamond to load up again to head off to WV, NJ to deliver more 7 tables, then back to Diamond, then off to Mississippi to deliver tables, back to Diamond, then off to South Dakota to deliver tables, back to Diamond to load up again, then off to Oregon to deliver tables....I sure hope I run out of work before Christmas....so I can take a little time off and enjoy it with my kids in Washington state that I haven't seen in 16 months.

I hope you're right cleary, and that NO ONE ever calls me to work on their pool tables again, or to deliver ANY more Diamond tables....so I can kick back and relax....like you:wink:....NOT!

glen sorry pal but "SHIT HAPPENS" is the worst excuse i ever heard. dont get me wrong every deal is somewhat unique. arrangements are made differently all the time. im sure if doc knew you were going to spend/loose/set fire to his money he would have had collected it differently.

no matter the arrangement you should have not have to get docs money together. it should be together. thats the problem here and you dont even care. thats the real problem

also no matter what is said the problem isnt resolved until money is in hand

now your right. it doesnt change you going to someones house and doing work. how would you feel if you came to my house and did a full overhaul and when done i said ' I HAVE TO GET YOUR MONEY TOGETHER"

luckily i dont need anyone. ive done about a bizillion tables in my life. with the real best "mechanic" might i add. too bad hes a drug addict ex con that cant get work anywhere. he prob couldnt pay to do someones table now. but i love the guy. thats what screwing you customers over, begging customers for drugs while drunk, and fist fighting your helpers in the pool room during buisness hours does to your rep.
 
He showed his character, or lack thereof. Ppl can make their own decisions. I just hope he pays his debt.

I couldn't agree more.

I Pm'd Glen a couple of years ago asking how much to tighten my olhausen. (he said dont waste your money)

One year later I bought a 9 ft Diamond professional and PM'd him about adding the ball return. ( he said its junk dont waste your money)

Another year or so goes by and I called glen and asked him if he would install a 3pc pro-am in my basement. (he said maybe in six or seven months)

I called Diamond and got a quote. I told them I wanted Glen to do it. They said it wont happen this year! I told them i dont care, I will only buy if RKC sets it up. Diamond called me a week later saying my table is ready would next week be ok? I asked if Glen was doing it? Diamond said no our mechanics can do it. I said keep it.

Two weeks later Glen called said he has my table and will be there friday night about 7 pm. Friday night goes by and its saturday. I called Glen and asked him what time he will be there so I can get somebody to let him in. I had to work. He said don't worry, I'll call you when I'm done.

Well three days later my table was done. (He stayed to wait for parts Diamond forgot to pack.) And its perfect. And I mean perfect. I got what I payed for and then some.

My experience was like I was asking a buddy to help me because I didn't trust anybody. I never felt like a customer, more like an annoying friend. I think he did my table so I would quit bothering him!

Not sure what happened with this other deal? If I can con Glen into ever doing another install for me he will get my business, regardless of what anybody says about him here. the RKC experience is very different than what most people can handle

I am right, you lost a future customer right here. There are a whole lot of tables in NYC that get covered without you, including my own. Im not here to make enemies Glen and Im not here to fight with an egotistical table mechanic. I have no doubt you will still be busy, good for you, but I know for a fact you WILL lose at least one mans money. Im sure there will be more. Sounds like you are ok with that.

Everyone who joined in was hoping that this was just a misunderstanding and that it would be taken care of. It sounds like it will be and thats great.

Now Im going to get back to relaxing because thats certainly all I do.

Add me to the list...............of wanting a new table. I would like to get a table from you and could care less about anything in this thread or any deals gone bad or any pissed of people. What's that old adage about 999 good deals and 1 bad one and it's the only one you hear about. :groucho:

For all those that think......

Glen walks on water you should make a trip up to Washington and ask around the first thing I was ever told about Mr. Snake was other than this guy named Ritch hes was the last person you wanted to have any bis. dealings with. That was about 2 weeks befor I met him and was laughing at his crazy story about opening a 100 then 80 then 60 table room in this old bowling alley. Wich I came to find out everybody was laughing at.

When I came on here and saw some of the threads he was in, I thought at first what a bunch of suckers then I thought well maybe in his old age he changed, well maybe not. The only thing I want ot know is, did you put it on black or red....

I will say this I'd let him work on my table way befor that Ritch guy, Id rather have the snake then straight venom...

Grow up, take a pill. ONE bad transaction, ONE out of god know hows many, and You all want to say DONE, thats it! Wow the internet and its great no face policy sure makes for steadfast convictions on some.

Let me ask you all this, Do you have a faviorite restaurant that you goto a LOT, I mean they make the best Chicken Fried Steak anywhere! Everytime no problems! But one day the cook is in a shitty mood and burns the hashbrowns and forgets to season the gravy.. Ewww. So do you say NEVER again! period? I bet you dont. It happens. You go back and try again.

Man I have waited longer then that on a refund from Best Buy on a Plasma! Guess what? Still will shop there. Shit happens!

You all act like he raped a puppy and kicked a kid. The internet and forums are great, but I guess since there are a few Idiots out there should shut it down......

Now, RKC, keep being you and do what you do man, hope to have to call on you sometime in the future...

After reading through the whole thread, I would definitely call upon RKC to do my table, if I had one. I can't wait get a table so I can meet you!
