My story is straight, how about yours?

Umm, sorry jack but you're wrong unless this screenshot of

I read through the thread about Ernesto. Glen's point in that thread was fact and he didn't "slam" Ernesto, much less "thoroughly slam". He even gave him credit for his caliber of workmanship.

You on the otherhand ARE slamming RKC with erroneous info. You are becoming what you are accusing Glen of.

Granted even though Glen does come across the wrong way many times you will not find anyone more sincere about improving the sport.

LMAO - This mechanic101 has obviously joined the forum soley to confront RKC. This is hilarious. Table mechanics. Glen is your best friend. If every table mechanic was as meticulous and consistent as Glen, pool would be more fun! All tables would play better.

Obviously Glen and I have been doing some business. Meeting Glen and seeing him in action only re-inforced what I suspected about him. He is very good and thorough. We are planning something even bigger that will benefit everyone in pool. Stay tuned.

Just want to say

Glen deserves the myth status - I am Chris (the guy he set the 3 piece pro-am) and it plays the NUTS. I am still in awe how fast the cloth is (Glen stretches it tighter than any cloth I have ever played on). Glen is both a gentleman and a scholar when it comes to table mechanics. He is the real deal and I wont have anyone EVER work on my table but him.

Glen plays a pretty spiffy game of straight pool as well.

Stop by anytime your in Texas Glen - I'll have the kool-aid waiting LOL.

Glen

I CHALLENGE YOU GLEN! I watched you setup my Gold Crown, I know exactly how to do it now....... Right... Safe Travels! How is it being able to turn your truck off now? I miss the cops coming to my house and at Midnight wondering why there is a crazy guy with a running truck in my drive way :D.

Since Diamond paid to put new injectors and glow plugs in it, it runs great, can't wait to get it back to them and drop it off:D

Any chance that you are ever going to have time to come over and fix my Olhausen?

I had PM'd my contact info to you and Tom a few weeks ago...

EASY NOW COWBOY....stick and stones...whats up with the " stupid" and "idoit" remarks...

I never said your not a great mechanic...and really I don't have anything agianst you personally.

I just don't approve of the idea that your the worlds ONLY qualified mechanic...hundreds of table sit idle across america because the KING COBRA hasn't got there yet....I mean really, it sounds like you should be wearing a cape to work like super man.

Yes there are people out there who do some very sloppy work...but I mean, you have to admit....doing it proper is not all that hard. HECK you even talk about wanting to have "class" on it... a few days and you can have anyone lined out all right....so why act like leveling a 3 peice is like building a space shuttle.

bandwagon? I think not.... but whats this talk about $ 5,000?

I can Help

For my future reference, because I have thought about it, are the 9ft Professionals one piece slate or 3 piece slate? Because I don't think you are going to get a one piece slate up my stairs to my game room. However, if they are 3 piece, that would be useful to know for the future.

Thanks.

After I watched Glen single handedly lower a 1,250 pound pool table off a dolly onto my living room floor, I made a note to myself. It said "Self, don't ever piss this guy off". :D

If I'm ever rich and need a bodyguard, I'll just hire Glen and Bull. And they'd be fun to have around too. That's a dynamic duo if there ever was one!

On second thought it's not such a bad idea. One guy knows everything about setting up tables and the other one knows how to run tournaments. HMMMMMMM

Jay,

You got something in the cooker? ;)

Glen here's my advice, its all good when they are talking about right or wrong at least they are talking. Below is how I deal with it. the "Fatboy name is getting out there. you know whats comming up. and yes i'm counting on you buddy...

Its the guys who dont get talked about are usually the guys who are trying to get recognition, and do the talking behind fake screne names or have far fetched ideas, or resort to insults to get attention for themselfs as they are they guys who want to be in our shoes so to speak. Their approach usually dosent work, in my case today some gentalman used his real name as a screen name so he has my respect(just for that)-even if he dosent like me, i respect him, I then PM'ed him about something else and he was very thoughtful and nice about a small favor I asked him to do, he knows alot about me until today I dont remember hearing about him, but thats why I try to awalys be nice and respectful to people, or appologise if I'm not should I find out later. I'm flattered when I see topics about me or guys in chat threads talking about me right/wrong/good/bad the more chatter the better. Speaking for my self only I like to put it like this: loved/liked, my most hated by some, but known by all.

Today the gentalamn I pm on something else started a thread about me that was incorrect and could have harmed my reputation, I knew he was mistaken and I was confident that someone would give him the facts, When people put my name "Fatboy" in a thread about something I did I ignore it even when they are wrong, 2% of the time I might say something if it was something real bad, not mis information.

OK enough about me, Glen this guy who started this thread shows me 3 things about him, 1) he wants to become a better billiards teck, 2) He might be sick of seeing your work(too bad for him) or 3) would probably come around if your nice to him and work things out(Cincyman here hated everything about me last year, now were friends). Your a likeable guy he has done his homework you should be flattered and invite him to learn then get a read on him, you awalys gotta think positive about people you never know until you know so until I know some one I reserve judgment.

Please dont think I'm lecturing you or telling you what to do, there is more work aou ther for properly trained Billiards Tecknitions, there will never bee enough good tecks to compermise your business, and with the sell off of pool rooms with 9' tables and tohse tables making their way into homes everyone will be a month behind, start up billiard universty-really make $$$ and fade the hecklers,

Like I said this guy is sick of you bragging about your work because his probably aint what yours, close enough to upset him, Just like poeple get sick of me saying how much $$ I made, but DAMNIT to hell if they made what I have they would too, or even more so-and you know about 30% of how big I am, Shit man if I played pool like JS and ran 400 balls i'd never shut up. Anyone who does tables like you isnt gonna shut up and til I go broke(and I never rule that out) i'm not gonna stop talking about it, but notice I never rub it in and am willing to give advice to help. Why not talk when your at the top??? I hope Mike Seigal didnt read this last sentance-just kidding Mike.

I agree, Bull would make a good bodyguard. Quick story: my wife (girlfriend at the time) and I, Bull, and a few other friends were out one night. This guy reaches out to grab my wife/girlfriend's arm to get her attention. Bull get up in his face and says "that's your one and only warning". Scared the guy so bad, i thought he was gonna start crying. :)

its hard for me to address you; i don't want you to take it the wrong way, i'll just try but for sure it will not have any usefulness to you now i can already tell, but maybe in time to come it may, or, not. be that as it may. its your life and only you need to care.

einstein when published in 1905 had lots of complaints, matter of fact, nobody agreed with any of the 4 papers published that year. and for years to come.

further, i have learned a lot (but really still know almost nothing) and everything i learned i learned from the millions of mistakes i have made.

so, you say you have no complaints, therefore you do everything right: i say imho you are a 23 year old (you state) who knows nothing yet.

hopefully in your future, you will have the love RKC has has for his life's work.

give yourself a little time and maybe you will.
smokey

and by the way, i believe there are others like glen. and i hope for you in the future you are one of them, and i wish you the best.
