THis is why no one has respect for pool and sponsors stay away. Hell we cant even watch this live in the us without a illegal feed off the internet.

I don't know if I agree with this. We have baseball players on steroids, basketball players jumping into the crowd and throwing fists and committing adultery with 17 year old girls, and football(American) players setting up illegal dog fighting matches and dealing drugs and guns. I don't see them having any problems getting sponsorships or making millions.

I understand this is a poor start to that argument but I'm tired, that's my excuse

It was a funny quip but the chances that alot of those people in the audience are making alot more money then Rodney doing jobs a far cry from flipping burgers is pretty good. It kinda makes a comment like that slide right off.

His comment was made as an insult directly aimed at what he was claiming was their low paid menial occupations compared to his. There is really no other way to take what he said.

I get a laugh out of the remark by Rodney, but it's never OK to be an asshole on live TV especially when American mens pool is trying to market themselves to an American TV/world audience. It's just a petty, snide, childish remark. It's just dumb. The best way to silence people is to win(which he did that game) .. he's beatin his own ass . .

Maybe they should change the name of the event as there seems to be no respect for the man that the event was originally named after . .

Crowd having fun and cheering is ok. Just like powerball snooker.

But no shouting when shooting, and no 'extreme'/drunk shouting or calling specific things about or to players.

That being said.. it reminds me of the Iranian government who allowed the people to cheer at soccer. But the only allowed cheer was "Allah u Akbar". lol

rodney was n the heat of it and got worked up..he is a great guy very well mannerd and it was just a bad moment dazevan posted on his facebook that rodney madehis way to darren to apolagize....when your in the pit it gets heated....when your in the pit for your country, well i cant evanbegin to imagine....its over both rodney and daz are great guys and true gentelman...:thumbup:

That does not surprise me one bit that Rodney made an effort to apologize, he did certainly seem out of character. Like you said in the heat of the moment we all act a little different by times.

Today should be an exciting day, yee-haa.

I'm also very glad that Rodney made it right....
..he is one of the ambassadors for pool.

...But if he did decide to go 'gangsta'....
