Ronnie Wiseman stiff's me for $3900

I've found this thread very enlightening. If I knew you didn't have to pay off gambling bets, I'd been betting much higher than I have in the past. Thanks for the information.

Anyone want to play some $500,000 sets?

sure, you take a check for the post money?

Just want to let everyone know that Ronnie stiffed me for $3900 at my poolroom in Hattiesburg. I am not a good player at all and he beat me at the same game that i happen to win this time. We played for 2 days straight and he paid me most of it but during our match in the middle of the night he promised to pay the next day if i let him continue to play. I thought there would be no problem. I know he had Scott Frost and Justin Hall hanging around with him and now he is saying they were in and he cant pay me until they pay him. That was not our agreement. I wanted to quit so this wouldnt happen but his words out of his mouth were I will pay you in full the next day. Well, guess what? He left town the next day and is trying to tell me they are responsible. I have talked to both of them and they are saying he is crazy. I am not going to chase the guy around or anything but i want to let everyone know what happened.

As most know, there's usually three sides to a story.

Here's one side, straight from Ronnie Wiseman's mouth. Ronnie asked me to post, as he happens to be at the Turning Stone event right now as I write this.

Ronnie Wiseman agrees that he does, in fact, owe one game to the gentleman he played, which is 500 bucks.

However, Scott Frost was the one betting the coin going around the table, and Scott Frost is responsible for the coin games, which was the side action.

Ronnie did not know that Scott Frost had no money and would not pay the gentleman for the side action. Scott is responsible for the coin/side action.

Scott owes 3,400 beans for side action, using the coin moving around the table. Scott left without paying his end, which was ALL SIDE ACTION.

Ronnie Wiseman owes 500 beans for the last game that Ronnie lost, which Ronnie agrees with.

I heard through the grapevine that "Scott is going to try to make this right. He is just a little slow on the draw when it comes to that money."

Please don't kill the messenger, as I am only relaying Ronnie's side of the story. :)

I understand this is straight from the horse's mouth but it would be nice to hear it straight from Ronnie too. :) Why would Ronnie try and withdrawl $3900 from his bank account if he only owed $500?

BVal <----not shooting the mesenger just asking a question.

Also, one more thing. Grapevine says that the next night, this pool room was robbed at gunpoint, with a shotgun, and a patron got his leg blown off. :(

Thank God, Ronnie wasn't there and got out of Dodge in one piece. As it turns out, it wouldn't have mattered if Ronnie won. It was a no-win situation.

Well, there's one pool room I don't have to ever worry about going to and gambling.

Ronnie said he went to the ATM to get the 500 beans that he owed him for the last game. That is what Ronnie believes he owes him, 500 beans, not 3,900. Ronnie knows you can't get $3,900 from an ATM.

As it turn's out Ronnie lost money the night before any robbery allegedly happened. Thank God he got out of there without paying a day early.

Ronnie does not know how to post on a computer, much less AzBilliards.

He is in Verona, NY right now, and we are speaking with him on the telephone, relaying the topic of this thread. He requested that I please post his side of the story on this thread, to which I complied. :)

He was betting with Ronnie so it is Ronnie's debt. If Scott owes Ronnie $3400 then that is beside the point. I can't stand when somebody says well so and so had part of the bet so they owe it. That is the biggest crock of sh*t, man up and pay the man what you owe.

If Scott skipped out on Ronnie then he is a big piece of sh*t as well. Either way, somebody owes this man $3900 and it is Ronnie's responsibilty to get it for him.

I had something like this happen a few times when I let a friend make sports bets through me and then when he lost he didn't have any money. Well, guess what, I didn't tell the bookie that my friend made the bets I just paid him what I owed on MY account and didn't let my friend bet anymore until he paid me.

"Allegedly"? Do you know something that Ronnie may not know? :frown:

Please advise!

A computer is not the only thing he doesn't know how to post on. I hope he does well in the tourney so he can pay off his debt.

It has been confirmed by both parties that Ronnie did not pay - not alleged - it is fact.

The robbery is not confirmed - therefore alleged.

No matter what anyone writes, the words will be ripped apart and interpreted the way one wants to on this forum. Business as usual, as they say.

I was relaying Ronnie's side of the happenings, though initially I must admit that I was, in fact, hesitant to do so, mainly because of what will inevitably transpire on this thread hereafter.

I have no dog in this fight. Ronnie Wiseman is a friend, and I was presenting his words to this forum at his request. It is unfortunate that he cannot write on the forum in his own name, but it just ain't possible at this time.

I don't think Ronnie would make it up about the pool room being robbed at gunpoint, though.

Bval, if he was gonna pay anything then he would have gotten what he could out of the atm and paid him. Instead he chose to lay the blame on someone else. I'm sure that Scott will say the reverse and blah blah blah. That's the oldest trick in the book. Both people say that the other person owes it and nobody will ever pay it. The scheme is cooked up that way and they will be roadies again in no time.

This is pure hogwash, and you don't know squat about Ronnie or Scott. How dare you write things which you know nothing about, though this is your style on the forum. You've lied about me not paying for PPV on TAR, and now you are going to lie about Scott Frost and Ronnie Wiseman.

The Baby's Arm strikes again.

Well the OP is the owner of the room so he should be able to confirm if it was robbed or not. I would trust him before I trust a guy that air-barreled a bet and was out of town before the alleged robbery took place.
Whether you want him or not Ronnie is now your dog.

So Neither Ronnie nor Scott has lied to this gentleman and owes him $3900?

BVal, I have no dog in any fight. The fight belongs to you. All I am stating is what the man told me. I'm not trying to start a fight on any damn forum.
