Ronnie Wiseman stiff's me for $3900

Why didn't you break all his fingers? Except the middle ones that way it'll look like he's giving everyone the finger. Seriously I would've kept his cue, and kicked him out of "MY POOLHALL." Whats the name of your poolhall? Maybe we, I mean you can bet some. PS I'm glad you beat him. Ronnie is the weakest pro I've ever seen. Did you guys see him on ESPN? He couldn't make a ball.

How about this for his new one....."If I'm gonna have to pay, then I sure ain't gonna stay".....or maybe, "If you ever get me stuck, I'm leaving in my truck"......:D

A few more. :)

If you're too good a shooter, I'll leave on a scooter.

If I "air" you don't fuss or I'll leave on a bus.

If you win the bet, I'll be on the next jet.

If I'm down when we're through, will you take I.O.U.?

dont matter what was won. It was still an air barrel.

You are right, Shawn, it doesn't matter one iota what you won before BUT you are wrong about it being an AIR BARREL. An air barrel is ONE GAME and everyone is entitled to an air barrel after losing a large number of games, for what ever amount. If you didn't feel like making him post, on the last day of play, you HAD to make him pay off after every game. Then he only gets a one game air barrel, light game.

Did you change the format to XXX games ahead on the last day?

You are for sure doing the right thing here, just as Jay Helfert did by airing the name of the deadbeat so others in our community will be aware.

I think it was absolutely correct to post what you did, ShawnD.

I also hope to see a post SOON that lets us know the debt is satisfied.

Keep it up, Ronnie. The only action you'll get will be playing Tony Ruberto.

Are you serious right now?

That's a great point, Black-Balled. Must be something in the water. Tony Ruberto and Ronnie Wiseman should be in the same boat, without a paddle. I find it ironic that both Wisman and Ruberto got their reputatioin by stealing money from two seperate guys with tons of heart,,,,,,,,,,,both from Hattiesburg, MS.

Ha! They better watch it. The South will rise again!

Beer drinkers, hell raisers!

lol, imagine a pool player stiffing someone. I know Ronnie and we've always gambled on different things at tourneys with no problem, but what a scumbag to do this. Everyone that sees Ronnie should give him no action whatsoever and tell everyone that he shoots air barrels. Even if Scott and Justin were in with him, it was Ronnies responsibilty to get the money from them or stop hanging around with other pieces of sh*t.

Ronnie "I can't be trusted when I'm flat broke and busted" Wiseman.

Ding Ding Ding........I think this one wins the Oscar in the "New nickname of the year" category.

Maybe you are best served to learn your lesson and move on instead of damaging someones only way to make a living. Getting stiffed is a part of gambling and not just in pool.........hell ask the bookies if they get paid on all bets!!

1st: I'm sure the lesson has been learned. 2nd: You can't be serious, he damaged his own reputation by not paying his debt. Shawn had every right to post this information. 3rd: Getting stiffed is part of gambling? Getting sacked in the NFL is part of the game but I can assure you there's not a quarterback out there who likes it.

Well the good thing is, he gambles a lot, or at least he has money in action quite a bit and this is something that will put a nick in his action. I'm not much on the guy anyway.

You guys thinking this has ruined his action are way off. Next time he tries to match up, he will still get a game, EVEN if people are aware he stiffed someone. As an example, I play guys that owe money to others all the time. As long as they post up with me, I could care less that they owe money to others. In fact, I could care less if the person they owed money to came in while I was playing the "stiffer".

When you are matching up with someone NOTHING about their past payment matters. The only thing that matters is what is in their pocket and on the light at that moment in time.

u r a moron

this attitude is exactly the problem with pool! if people really black balled people for stuff like this, they would stop doing it! but morons like u keep giving them action regardless!

Where's Wiseman?

Those that dont post lose the most!!
I hate to sound like a jerk but, you played and took that chance when you didnt post. There is no betters insurance in gambling and if he said the other guys were in on it, they probably were but hell, they probably thought they had a winner. When Ronnie lost I would wanna say I had no part either although I couldnt actually do that to someone.

The he said she said thing wont ever really be known unless they fess up. Announcing a stiff job isnt really the way to go IMHO. I would assume you'll get paid eventually by the player since he needs to gamble for a living and would hate to lose action over it. I'd be pissed if I was Ronnie and got stuck like this by the other two guys if thats what happened.

How many times has the guy lost and paid? I would guess most times. We all have things that happen, work it out amongst yourselves and avoid creating more damaging news in the pool world.

From what I understand hes been gambling for over 20 years and this is one of the few times Ive heard of him in this way.............Ive heard alot of things but not this.

Maybe you are best served to learn your lesson and move on instead of damaging someones only way to make a living. Getting stiffed is a part of gambling and not just in pool.........hell ask the bookies if they get paid on all bets!!

Good luck, I feel for you but to be honest it isnt much because its called gambling for more than one reason! POST POST POST and if you dont, keep the results to yourself. I dont think we need more bad press in this game!

Sorry, I know I'm gonna get beat up for that response but its an opinion and a tough lesson learned for the stiffee!!

Two points... or two bones of contention with this post...

Assuming things went down as Shawn states, then Mr. Wiseman is a deadbeat (at least for now). Period.

My first point is - You CAN NOT justify Wiseman's failure because Shawn didn't get him to post - a man's word is a man's word. Shawn may pay for his mistake - FINE, but don't justify Wiseman's skipping out because Shawn didn't make him post - that's plain CRAP. Don't even diminish Wiseman's actions because of non-posting.

Second, "we" the concerned, must self-police this great but flawed sport - who TF else is gonna do it for us? "Keep the results to yourself?" BS! This sweeping it under the carpet attitude will serve to allow deadbeats to deadbeat more.

I hope Wiseman can't get a $2 game in a nursing home in the North Pole until he makes right. I say pass the word. And I say post the stiff list thread, cautiously though...

this may be true because I'd probably still give him action if I was stealing but it will certainly make it harder for Ronnie to get any more action without posting. It will also serve to get the word out that Ronnie is capable of doing this to someone and people will be more contiouse of that fact when dealing with him or other people like this.

New nickname from new member !

I'm friends with Gary A. who won the tourney & Gary called me & told me That....Ronnie "NOT TOO" Wise man & Scott called him and everybody they knew trying to put the almighty bite down once they was busted so they could keep playing....Amazes me about pool players sometimes...Scott beat Gary out of 20 thousand a few years back & calls to try & put the bite on him...asked for alot more but said...how bout $500 ?....I would never even think about trying to so say "Borrow" money from somebody that I made a major score on...but that's just me...thank God that's it's been a few decades since I can say that i been in the busted with my nose wide open position....Just my 2 cents on it.

Haha! You would care if you were about to win the set and the owed party made your opponent settle up with all he had then and there.
