On Saturday I saw Brian at the APA SouthWest Challenge and he said that with the Calcutta 1st would be worth about $8,000.
It will be nice when Mark Griffin gets the final numbers for us here at our computers everywhere.
Mark Griffin said:Actually the Andy Mercer Memorial
1st: Brian Parks (came from loser side)
2nd Jose Parica
3rd: Al Lawrence
I left early, I believe Danny Petralba and Tommy Dilorenzo came in 5-6th. Tony Chohan was either 7-8 or 5-6. And Tom Butler was up there also, maybe 4th.
Sorry Best I can offer. GREAT event 64 players (field limit) played on Diamond Smart Tables. HUGE calcutta.
Try to get better info later today.

Kudos to Al Lawrence also, a long time Vegas buddy of mine. A good player, fine cuemaker and helluva friend. Yes, he is deliberate, but so are a hundred other good players. Glenn Atwell and Johnny Archer come to mind first. Jeff Carter played slow and so does Jeff Heath. Both good players. Varner is no speed demon and neither is Buddy, and no one plays slower then Dick Lane. And Dick was a top player for many years.
Not everyone is a Luc Salvas or Tony Drago.
