Safety Deposit Boxes for Cues

You should store cues upright not flat and I do not know if there is a safety deposit box option.

^gun safe isn't a half bad idea. Plenty tall enough - don't think a safety deposit box though

kitty litter

Or rice will soak up moisture.
a old sock filled with rice or kitty litter works good inside a safe

I'm currently a branch manager for a bank where I lived and have worked at a bank most of my working career.

Safe deposit boxes are slowly going by the wayside. Most of your new construction banks are putting in very few boxes if any at all.

That being said you can find boxes that would be big enough to hold a cue case. They are just going to be few and far between, and are probably currently rented. They are probably going to be around ~$200 a year to rent.

My suggestion would be to go to the main DT location or the branch that has been around the longest in your hometown. Older branches tend to have bigger safe deposit boxes.

Funny, I never thought my banking expertise would be helpful here!

I keep my cues in a gun safe at my house.

Problems with safety deposit box is that they are not handy to use.

We keep all our valuables in it.

Ken - I will need a map: to your house and a detailed one of the house itself.

You can have a nice gun safe installed in your home (bolted to the slab) that is fire rated for a few hours and bullet proof for a pretty penny. If you're thinking of storing cues in a safety deposit box, they must be valuable. If you do some research, there are a few tricks and products that will keep humidity and moisture out of the safe.

I store mine in a case and in my safe with some measures taken to control humidity. My safe is 800 lbs so if they can move it they can have it.

You should screw it into the floor. Moving an 800 pound safe is cake, even for just one person. All it takes is a pry bar and some golf balls or small steel bars.

I came home from league a little tipsy one night and went to put my cues in my gun safe and ended up with a gun in my cue case. The next time I went to the pool room I couldn't get a game.
