Sales on AZ

I've noticed that some sellers post for sale items but never contribute anything else to the forums.Whats your take on this?
BTW, I am not trying to start a flame throwing contest.I am just seeking opinions.I don't think there is necessarily anything wrong with it.

Do not believe forum partisipation is a requirement to sell.

Actually my feeling from what Mike has said is the wanted/for sale section was made for members who are contributing to the forum and being a part of this community we have here.

If you search peoples post you will see some are just posting items they have to sell and nothing else to the forums, some are dealers who have websites.

Those dealers should have a minimum of a membership if not some form of sponsorship to this site, a banner ad on here with the kind of traffic this site gets is actually not very expensive but very effective, the site could use the support.

I agree with you partner, I don't very much like it when people get on here and the first post they have is a cue for sale for much $$$$....if your going to make $$$ off of using the site then either add to it, or donate some money to it. Just more reason why after I'm tooled up, anything I sell on here a percentage is going to go to this site. Hell why not...its a tax write off anyways.

how they say that?

Whats good for the goose, is good for the gander.

Your point is good but I think Policing people who rip off members is more important, than some that sell a few cue, cases, etc.

Selling on AZ

Things have changed a little and it is what it is.
As the membership increases there seems to be more members that think AZ is just a place to try and make a buck.
It used to be important for someone for "vouch" for you before you tried to sell on AZ, but then again, rep points used to mean something.

Things are changing, not necessarily for the better, but like I said, it is what it is.

"Hey everybody, come sell your crap on AZ Billiards,
If it doesn't sell put it on Ebay with a link, then bump it 90-times".

Personally I don't like rules either, and really just hate everything.

There have been a lot of new people with 1 or 2 posts and thy are all for sale ads.most of us want to see some recomendation from guys who have been posting for years. There was a gina for sale that no one wanted to touch because the poster had no creds.

I am still a fairly new member on this forum. I do frequent the wanted/for sale section because I know that the reputable sellers here are knowledgable(sp?) and trustworthy. I also shop here because I prefer to give business to other pool players and enthusiasts. That being said, I do not post often because I feel that since my experiences in the pool world are few (been playing for only 3 years), I tend to come across as the new guy who doesn't know what he's talking about. I will say that I probably spend more time here than most simply because I enjoy reading all the posts and seeing what everyone is up to. Anyway, that's my story.

..Not that any of you really care:thumbup:

I don't have anything against people with the sole intent to sell (or buy) on here. What gets me are the people who come here and try to sell a cue without a price or pictures.

Hello..
My Name is Dedy from Indonesia, I a new member in Az... I don't sell anything but i'm planning to buy a couple cue and case here. And the most important thing i would like to ask a lot of thing about POOL Game, Breaking, Stroking, POOL house Management etc. I want to make some donation to this forum, but i can not make it routine. maybe someone can help me.

Sorry if my english is not good, at least you know what i mean.

Thank you

I try to do a little of this and a little of that. Lately I've had trouble finding threads that really interested me so I've been selling more than contributing lately. Of course I'm going to post a link to my web site after I finish saying what's on my mind.

In my defense, I spoke to Jerry about what I do on this site and he said he had no problem with me trying to promote and sell my book.

You're doing fine. You do not have to speak English well to be
understood perfectly.
If you know Eddy Hartono-Hengky Soedojo-Soeni Hardjo-or
Java the Indonesian Elvis-please tell them to join AZ BILLIARDS
and say hello sometimes.
thanks

I definitely wasn't referring to you.You do add insight and make comments in different threads.I was talking about just people who post in the wanted for sale section and no other place on this forum.

So what is the problem????

We have several Members who only, or for the most part offer items for sale. They are honest, stand behind what they sell, and treat people fairly. I could name a few but the regulars here no them. I have ZERO Problems with them doing what they do as no one get hurt by them. So what is the problem????

Because this is meant to be a pool community with people contributing in more ways then just selling here, it is what Mike would like and I agree with it. If your going to sell at the very least have a membership on here if its all you intend to do here. In life you have people who just take and take with no concept of giving back.
