Samsara tip breaking???

Has anyone else had a problem with the samsara tips? I probably had the tip for less than 6 months and it cracked and then fell off so now I have a straight tip, theres no curve in the tip at all.

I'm sure the guy who put it one will replace it for me, but if this is a regular problem with this tip I'm thinking of getting an icebreaker or something like that.
 
I've had my Samsara on for 6-8 months now & haven't had any issues whatsoever. D&D put mine on, who put on yours?
 
Had the same thing happen to me. Bought the OB Break shaft, and the tip actually popped off after about 25 break shots. Sent it back to OB, and Royce took care of me real fast :) However, after getting the shaft back I started to notice the tip chipping away after maybe a months time. More and more. Until finally, half it it broke right off and I had to scrap it. Put on a Kamui hard for now, and although I get less power, the CB control is great, and the tip holds shape awesome.
 
D&D put mine on also which is why I'm not too worried cause I believe David said if it ever breaks he'd replace it no charge.....although if that kamui is any good I might try it
 
I've had one on my personal breaker for over a year, and I've installed about 30 of them locally over the same time period. Not a single one has had this problem.

I've been breaking with a Samsara tip for over a year and a half. And I've spent alot of time breaking with that tip. Personally it's my favorite break tip out there. I really like the consistency and the hit.

But i've had the layers come undone several times always the same way. I'll be breaking and suddenly notice a small crack running around the the tip at a layer. So i'll have it shaped down below the crack and it'll hold up for a while and again the same thing...

I've had the tip break off 3 times. Once the whole tip came off, twice it was at the layer where it was cracking.

Last time this happened i had the tip compressed and shaped down because i needed it right before a tournament. It's fine now and has held up recently pretty well. I hope this issue doesn't continue but im not sure what could be a contributing factor to the tips delamenating so consistently. My cue man, Ted Harris, has made a call to Samsara to report the issue. Maybe it would be a good idea for you to call them also... Who knows you may get some free tips.

okay, now you guys are kinda scaring me... i was all set to get one of these, but if they are really that problematic...

also - anyone use one on their jump cue? i was thinking about putting one on my predator air. any issues there?

Personally the best tip I have ever broke with and also the best tip I have jumped with as well. No problems at all with it.
 
This is the best breaking tip I've had until it cracked on me, if your thinking of getting one I would still recommend it cause odds are your not gonna have problems with it based on the majority of what people have said
 
Here's a different secret-

I actually cut the samsara tips in half, for break and jump cues- without any problems. getting two jobs from 1 tip. and don't tell anybody or I'll have to Hire (Rock Fish to do the dirty work) James Garner lol or Michael Knight and Kip. Mark Joe Picone - tips are great too

Bought a j and j jump break cue with the samsara tip from ebay for $79.99. I was all excited to try out the break and the tip popped off after 20 or so breaks. I herd the tip is awesome from everyone on here. So I took it to my cue maker who checked it out and we looked at it and there was not enough glue on the tip and ferrel. He reglued it and did everything to retip the cue. Then im at the pool hall and broke with it less than 10 times and it popped off again. He told me that the ferrel matieral is bad and thats why it kept popping off. I always go to him to put my tips on my shooting cues and have never had a tip pop off. Is it the ferrel? Is it the tip? Is it the glue? Are there other tips that are bca legal? Please let me know.
 
My Samsara tip was at it's best when there were like two layers left on it. I used it on my MezzPB2. Do you guys use the Samsara without having it cut down rather much?
 
Just replaced mine because part of the center came out. Had it about a year though. Never popped off at any time though.
