Sarah Rousey Supporters Unite!

Tim Prince is now going to refinish the cue since he is the one who built it. Thanks to the other cuemakers who offered; Wes Hunter, Chris Byrne, Cory Barnhart, and a couple who wanted to remain anonymous. The cue will be going to Tim on Monday. I will get the raffle going next week.

Thank to all the great support so far!!!

I don't know how you could arrange it but, I'd like an autographed cue ball from Sarah.
Meaning, I'd like to purchase one, I think if she autographed a few they'd go pretty well in an auction.

Hog, if you make a $25.00 or more donation to Sarah via her blog (http://sarahrousey.blogspot.com/), she'll send you an autographed cue ball and she'll post your name in her list of "supporters". Check it out.....

DOH......I just realized Sompin' pointed this out. Oh well, at least this will bump up the thread. Support this girl, she's a great person and a great player. She has won her first (3) matches at the WPBA event this weekend, so she's in the Final 16 and it's only a matter of time until she snaps one off!

Hmmm... being the cheap-ass I am, (and also being the broke-ass college student I am), I got a question for y'all. Would it be acceptable behavior or would it be a low move on my part for me to throw a cue into the mix in exchange for some lessons from Sarah or Jason? (I live pretty close to Bloomington) I was thinking of donating my Paul Dayton Ebony/BEM cue w/2 shafts unplayed/unchalked. God knows I need the lessons (I suck), and I don't think I'm at the financial level where I can just give stuff away yet. Ofc, the idea would be to bill the lessons at a much higher rate than what is normally charged as a show of support. Like, if the cue brings in X dollars, divide X by an inflated rate Y, and you get the amt of hours of lessons I want. X is dependent on how much the cue is worth, Y is dependent on Sarah, and heck I was just throwing this out here to see some opinions.

Worminator, will you please post it up here when you start the raffle, I don't visit the raffle/FS section very much. Thank you and great job. Ron

? on the auto cb

I was on here blogsite..i see where you can donate, but it does not say anything about a signed CB...is that just a givin for $25? I ask becasue i would love to have one, and help support a player who helps us out here.

PS..I too like the idea of lessons or instruction..i understand she lives near indy???? Maybe a cincy/dayton contigent would be interested in an evening of instruction/help/hanging out in return for a few $$ for the cause.

If you donate any $$$, she'll send you an autographed picture. If you donate $25.00 or more, you get a cueball.

She lives in Bloomington, Illinois. Drop her a PM here on AZ. She usually keeps up with AZ very regularly, but may be off for a day or two depending on her travel schedule after the WPBA San Diego event.

I would consider Sarah one of my buds. I am pretty sure that she would come over if she could do mulitple students and maybe a tournament. While I wont speak for her, I suspect her schedule is pretty busy.

It is now underway Ron.

Sorry I can't say much more... apparently some people are complaining that I posted about the ra##le here in the Main Forum and I got sent to stand in the corner. :(

What F'N NIT complained about it??? This is to help ONE OF OUR OWN travel to tourney's overseas. Similar to hmmm, maybe these threads, that are in the MAIN forum:

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=130820

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=138071

All I can say is "wow, this place is certainly different than it was a few years ago".

I'm sure I'll get my hand slapped for speaking mind, but I really don't care.

Good luck with the RAFFLE Jamie!

Jim

Edit: Mike did say we could have links in our signatures soooooo......

WHAT????

Others including AZHousePro and Jerry Forsyth have used main forum to post cue auctions for pro player fund. I don't really see a different here as your raffle is to help a pro player plan for her VERY FIRST international travel.

Thanks again guys and sorry I have been slacking on this thread. I haven't had much internet access over the past week or so. As for lessons, jcommie, I know you live in Champaign and I appreciate your donation of a cue but you don't have to do that. I will contact you to set something up when I get back to central Illinois in June or so.

As for other lessons, I definitely don't mind heading over to Indy. It is only a few hours away from Bloomington. I just need to know what everyone wants to learn. I admittedly am not the worlds best teacher but I can look into having someone with me that can help out and have a bit more knowledge to fill in my gaps! You can email me or send me a PM here on az. My email address is sr9ball@hotmail.com.

I need to put that on my blog as a permanant thing. I made a post when I first started the blog stating what everyone would get with a donation. Anything under $25 gets a patch and an autographed photo. Anything over $25 will receive an autographed cueball and a patch. I will also have t-shirts for those who have and do donate $100 and up. I am in the process of having those made. I haven't been home very much in the past months to take care of it but I hope to have them done by Vegas.

Thanks again everyone for all of your help. I'm getting to make my dreams come true and I hope I can make everyone feel involved.

Sarah

There's actually a fair number of University of Illinois students/alumni that have AzB accounts. If you're coming, then I'm definitely up for a lesson as well - maybe during the summer when I can actually get to the tables? LOL :D

Good luck!

Bump... the raffle is filling up quick, please get your numbers so we can get it completed and support Sarah!!!
