Sardo rack.

Probably just the one rack he's getting rid of? because i doubt there's much margin selling those for 89$
Several new ones on eBay:

For Mr. Sardo , this invention allowed him to write off a ton of everyday expenses that could be associated with a business venture. Whether or not the rack was everything that it was promoted to be, he gave it a sincere attempt; and I hope that he had a great accountant who maximized his financial benefit from this invention.

Ive learned with racking don't press to hard give it a nice press but don't compress the balls where they want to push away from each other when the pressure is released, less is more.

He lost his ass, super nice guy with an invention that just didn’t work out.

He gets credit for trying. For taking the risk.
1000%

I have all the respect for anyone who puts their time, energy and money into a biz.

Like many ideas, the sound better in paper than they are in life. Who would have thought a simple plotter cutting a thin template rack would have become the real solution?

For Xmas, I gave my best buddy a Delta Elite Rack (Blue to match his cloth) and included the leather inserts
which really does change the otherwise higher pitch clanking sound into a metallic thud that sounds solid.

There’s ample space to lift the rack without disturbing the balls & it’s how pool was played for over a century.
I like racking the balls versus putting them on a plastic template. It’s old school and the Delta Elite works great.

If you apply a lot of pressure to the balls when racking, there is always a downward force and this slowly creates nasty grooves on the cloth where the balls should stay still and eventually making racking more and more difficult.

The $50 Diamond works just as good. Used a DE for a while but it was just too noisy.
Too noisy is my favorite. Do you put the balls in the rack and shove the rack back and forth, back and forth?? I just don't see how you can make racking unacceptably noisy, I mean I do because I have heard the noise at tournaments that used Delta's but they slam the rack back and forth.............. Who does that??
The wooden Diamonds are nice but I have seen the head ball stick to the rack when removing the rack during the summer when its humid, you just have to be aware it can happen and watch for it.....................if racking your own.:)

I used to have a Sardo rack and I "trained" my home table for it. The cloth was Simonis worsted like many places had and I thought it worked quite well. But I learned during the training process that the plastic template supplied by Sardo was more important than the rack.

A friend of mine also had a home table, but his cloth was different altogether. It was from the days when tables were brushed in only one direction in order to get the "nap" going in just one direction. We trained his table with my template and he continued to rack the balls for years with just his hands because the super thick cloth stayed "trained" forever.

Always wanted one after seeing it on tv. The price was always too high for me. Started hearing stories about the divots they left. Like earlier posters noted the women operating it were what I was preoccupied with. Guess that was for the best seeing is how it was a failed product.

They had leather inserts that deadened the sound. That made all the difference.
First they fk you on the price then you gotta modify it to quiet the thing down. The 'hall had one for a while on the front/action table and you could hear the balls being racked outside. About six mo's in the screws starting coming loose so i offered to Loctite them. That lasted about a month. They finally tossed this pos in the trash. The black poly Diamond gives this rack the 'Fatboy approved' five-ball.
