Hey skor!
I got a Capone 4 pointer cue with ivory inlays! I'll send you the link to it in a PM

If you like the Predator shafts playability and feel and the reduction in cue ball deflection then you will like this combination and it will be much more then OK.....
I agree with you on that, I just said simply OK because I am not playing with Predator anymore. However, the player who bought my STL immedaitely put a 314(2) shaft on it - and he plays lights out with that cue. Last night literally no one could beat him despite that there were a couple of really good shooters.
I don't think that we'll see many Schons at or under 19 oz. because of their laminated handle - that should weigh a bit more. My Schon shaft weighted 4.5 oz and I have never really heard of a schon shaft under 4 oz.
I do not know whether they core their butt sections but if they don't then that should add quite some extra weight to their cues - my cue was built using plenty of ebony.
As for Schon's balance... well, I have never experienced anything balanced better than a Schon - but I am still waiting for my Capone to arrive

)
I said that about predator's quality because I am running into more and more defective cues and shafts. For example the Air cues' finish is running off of them and it gets dinged very easily - I do not have one because even those player's cues get dinged who show extreme care to their equipment. My friend's only 6 months old BLAK-3 started to buzz in a way that you wouldn't expect from a $100 Scorpion cue. And I could go on...
I am pretty sad having to face all this as I loved my Predator 5k2 very much.
However I could feel - for some reason - that my Schon was constructed much much better than that BLAK-3 or any other production cue in the pool hall I am playing at.
It is good to see you here, skor! How's your McDaniel?
