Scott Frost $10,000 One Pocket Challenge!

As for the Frost worshippers, yes, i think he is a great player, but not nearly the best one-pocket player in the US, much less the world. My opinion. But the fact is, it DOES matter if he makes Efren come to Kolby's. Because he said he would play anyone anywhere. It's what was said, then changed...so, go to a neutral site and do it! Everyone wants to see it, so i'm sure it can be arranged somewhere where BOTH players are comfortable.

Scott is up about 40k on my lil buddy Gary Abood giving him 9-6...I would bet high as the sky with any other Usa guy if they would give Gary that spot..So Yes...Scott's the best 1 hole player from the USA

Very strong statement! And if someone thinks there is another U.S. Player that is better, how can you get your money behind them to find out for sure?

Maybe a little off subject, but what is the largest 1 pocket spot that can be realistically given? Let's say Player A gets 10 - 4 from Player B, and Player B gets 10 - 4 from Frost. What would Player A need from Frost?

Probably 14-2 and Scott has given that up to people before, how sick is that?!?!

I'd stake Gary against any other U S player giving that spot....And by the way...Last time Gary played Efren it was the same way...9-6 in California & loss....so if u do the math..the game with both is a tough game but they got a lil the best of it..so that puts Scott & Efren pretty close on paper right now.

I certainly agree Gabe and Scott would be an interesting match. John Schmidt could not win a race to 21 with Scott and a race to 3 anything can happen, DCC finals should be 5 or 6 games IMO but John is a great player for sure. Efren is the only one I feel that is the favorite when it comes to Scott, but Efren is not the same Efren and Scott is playing better then when he was getting 9-7 a year and a half ago. I just hope the match comes off.

I spoke to Scott last night and he had a bunch of things to say which he wanted me to post, this one thing I will post is that he will speak to Efren and he feels Efren will not care too much if they play at Kolby's and neither should anyone for that matter. It is a good room and they will be playing on a Diamond which is as neutral a table you will get.

But the thing here is that Jay probably won't back Efren since it won't be in the neutral city of Los Angeles :)

Another thing Scott wanted to say was that Jay is not backing Efren in this match, he said he spoke to the owner of Hard Times about the game and that was the man staking Efren.

Ok. I just saw that Jay said in his post that he was one of the men with the money.

I know you are only referring to what Scott told you what he was told in a phone-conversation, but Jay did write in this thread that he was one of the men with the money for this match. Read post 42. I don't believe Jay was lying.

I will love it if this match happens, no matter where they will play, who will stream or who will back who, though.

I spoke to Scott last night about it and he said he spoke to the money man directly, not sure if Jay has a piece but Scott said he did not to his knowledge from his conversation with Efren's backer.

Agree with Snap! It was a fluke, I know John posts on these forums. Notice he has exactly jumped at this offer to play Scott! John is a great player but he did get some rolls in the last match at the Derby.

Jump Cues! No jump cues allowed in One Pocket or Church!

I just can't see it. I will go blind.

Do you need some one to stake your expenses too, or just the post money? I am sure we can work something out. Btw, how do you play?

I'm fast losing whatever respect I had for you Lenny. You seem to have a need to make me look bad after you screwed up. Read my post again. I said I was one of the money men in this proposed match. That happens to be true regardless of what Scott told you. It appears that Scott is the source of a lot of misinformation, but maybe you haven't noticed.

By the way the owner of Hard Times is not involved in any way in backing Efren. Just some more misinformation. Keep up the good work Lenny!

More unadulterated BS! Sounds like someone is trying to cover their own ass. And I sure don't need to.

The operative words in this post and your last are "not sure". Why would you put this crap on here Lenny if you weren't sure? You really disappointed me with this whole thread and how you handled it. You wimped out all the way, and now you want to try to make me look bad. Grow up Lenny!

Efren is in the house or should I say the garden, Moody Gardens that is and that's no BS. The bellman had a grin from ear to ear posing with a photographer and the Ten dollar tip that Efren gave him for moving his bags to his room. I had a chance to inspect the luggage and Efren's cue as the bellman was an obvious mercenary but chose to pass.

LeeVan and I seem to find the same shuttle wherever we go. We shared one at the Derby City Classic and now here at the Galveston World Classic.

Just for the record !

I stand behind my previous statement when i Said I would stake Gary getting 9-6 from any other U S player besides Scott if anybody wants to make a game pm me or post it on here...not trying to stir the pot..just wouldn't mind putting my lil buddy in action.:)
