Scott Frost's opinion about Predator tables

I voiced my opinion on Scott’s Facebook about the measle ball debate and he screamed at me and then blocked me so….. He can’t complain about anything in my eyes nor do I care about his opinions.

I saw him and Shaw and someone else discussing the rack loudly at the Turning Stone on table one while a friend of mine (not gonna say who) was playing on table two. Both players were very annoyed and didn’t say anything to them and I was about two seconds away from getting up and tell them how rude they were being but they stopped at that exact moment!!

So…. I could give a rats ass what Scott Frost has to say about anything. Stay in Arizona 👍

Glen,
I know who you are. Whether I personally know who you are, or not, isn't the point. You have the knowledge, and the credentials, to point out grievances with respect to product design, specification, etc, in a different manner, than to resort to generalized, profanity laced tirades. The rules are clear. You have the knowledge, now find the ability.

If you're referring to my use of the word "shit" I don't consider that profanity, but rather a description of something. If something looks, smells, and squeezes like shit, you don't need to taste it to know it is!! Just because you spray paint a turd gold, that don't make it the same value of gold!!

The best thing Predator could have done was to make me an offer to work with them to design their pool tables for Sam's to manufacture, but there's no guarantee I'd have changed my mind. Brunswick tried to hire me before I went into business with Diamond, didn't work for them either. To me, it's all about heart, and that their heart is in the right place!!

If you have a grievance with Predator, take it up with them. Many folks can, and will have mixed results, opinions, etc, with different companies and products. Having different experiences and discussing those experiences here on the site, is welcome. That being said, there is a manner in which those conversations should take place. Your knowledge isn't the issue in this particular case, it's your presentation.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with Predator as a company, just the products they try selling. I talked to a potential customer last year some time back about setting his new 9ft Predator up, seems one of the new rails came damaged, so he wanted to get it replaced first. Been about 6+ months now, and the dealer he bought the table from hasn't been able to help him, and neither has Predator directly, and the table still hasn't been set up!! So my position is, NOT MY PROBLEM!! But I won't ever touch one in the future, that's for damn sure!!

I understand your position. Discussing different experiences, is an important aspect of the purchasing decision, for many consumers. Having those discussions in a respectful manner, is certainly welcome here.

I called the Predator 9fts junk before they even had their first tournament on them in AZ. Most everyone on AZB jumped all over me telling me I didn't know what I was talking about because Predator is this and Predator is that, and they'll design the BEST 9ft on the market, just wait and see!! Not one of those naysayers has apologized to me yet for being right!!😅🤣 bent frames, crowned slates because of bent frames! Broken slates, damaged rails....oh yeah, best built 9fts on the market alright 👍 Jason Shaw quit in the middle of a match, SVB comments about Pro's shouldn't have to play on such junk....yeah, I was wrong!!🤣😅😂

RKC’s profanity does not bother me in the least. I pretty much grew a thick skin the moment I picked up a cue. It goes with the territory. I’m interested in what’s said not how it’s said. There are more profane words than what he is using, go to any elementary girl’s basketball game and if what RKC is saying bothers you then those little girls will really make your ears burn .. just saying

Maybe you should have looked in the middle of the table through the rack opening to see what was blocking the balls, then cleared them out! That's how the table was designed!!
OK, I didn't know that or the people working at the pool hall. I'll look there next time. I wonder how many $30 pieces of chalk they'll find when they open the table up.

Scott Frost posted his opinion about Predator tables on Facebook.

"I’ve bit my tongue as long as possible but I have put in the blood, sweat and tears to speak on this. I’ve also built great long term relationships with PROVEN billiards industry giants who handled themselves with integrity and honesty for decades now. Im talking about obvious companies that have products that exceed all expectations for amateurs and professionals. To be clear, I have absolutely no issue with a company coming in and competing with products that are credible and viable as this is healthy for all companies and growth in any industry.

Trying to bully the market and take over every aspect along with taking advantage of the league player which is the most valuable market in pool is a bold and brazen move. I know things that I probably shouldn’t and the way this pool table company has handled this whole situation is disappointing and misleading just like this flyer.

And to make matters worse, the products are sub par and most top players won’t speak the truth because they have been silenced by the political machine. If you’d like to better understand the issues with the product or products I have zero problems explaining what I know over a phone call.

I’ve tried for almost a year to get a phone call or even a message returned to have a open and constructive conversation. Only to be completely ghosted which only validates my suspicions.

Lastly, I’m sure I’ll be banned from any and all events associated with this company moving forward because that’s what bully’s do. Instead, respond to your messages in messenger like you do your paid players or pick up the phone and call me. Even better let’s go live and discuss it for the world to see and here. CEO’s only because I like it tough.

The internal frame of these in no way compares to Diamond or Rasson.

After seeing the Rasson being set up at the expo, it may be my next table order over a diamond. They are supposed to be working on a ball return soon, but the metal frame is a huge selling point for me. The table played very solid!!

Buy an extra set of rails, you'll be needing them later when the sub rails at the ends get torn up with staples!!

One of the worst designed rails I've ever come across, Gabriel's ain't much better!!!

Mounting hardware is cheap too, threads won't hold up with the bolts being put in and taken out everytime the rails get recovered.

But hey, as long as the table looks good, right🤣

And resale value🤣😅😂🤣😅😂🤣😅😂

Very solid
I think they pocket balls a little too easy....but then we have all mostly accepted Diamond's quirkiness in rejecting balls as the standard.

I expect all this competition to lead to even better products.

The real reason there is a market for more tables sakes, is Diamond's backlog and difficulty of shipping tables out. That was worsened by the pandemic.

Used Diamond's selling for 9k. Because they are the standard and rightfully so.

My thought exactly!

Tell us exactly what you don't like about them, and let's go. Until then, it's just whining.
There were major issues with controlling the cueball. If a pro can't keep the cueball on a string, they aren't a pro. With the way the Predator cloth and tables have played, it's a major frustration.

I can say how much different it is playing on any of these tables in casino/exhibition hall air conditioning with thousands of people in attendance. You have tables playing entirely different in a room. I don't know if any table manufacturer or cloth manufacturer can beat that.

As far as the cloth market, Simmonis just now starting to recover inventory after the factory was flooded and destroyed. So the cloth market has alot of competition.

chat is good but it would be cool to see a visual comparison of diamonds vs the field, with explanations why diamonds are better

my old pool room had a Rasson. I was skeptical at first because it was something new. It played great. The rails played true to me, especially as far as kicking and banking. The pockets were tight but were also accepting of balls. It rolled true and I love drop pockets. I was very impressed with the table and enjoyed playing on it.
