Scott Lee - PARTY @ OUR HOUSE!

Here's Scott and I at @ 4 am after my lesson. BTW, I signed up for a 4 hour lesson. We started at 4 pm, so we shoulda ended at 8pm, right? Nope. We finished at 2 AM! So, either I am a slow learner or Scott is one passionate, generous man! We did the lesson at my friend's house - AZer "Diogenes" on his immaculate GCIV. My thanks to Scott and Diogenes (Pat)!

It was my pleasure my friend. I wouldn't say that you are a slow learner. I was really impressed at how Scott never moved on to the next step until he was certain that you had the full understanding on the current one.
I also think that Scott really enjoyed the private environment on my home over that of a pool hall... and I think that you learned so much more without having to worry about who was shooting at the table next to you... my liquor cabinet is too small for anyone to shoot on :)
BTW... did you ever get in touch with him about the mystery of the missing instruction book?
I don't know about you, but I was so burnt out today after such a full week and no sleep... that I just flaked around the house all day long. Maybe tomorrow I'll be recharged enough to do a thorough cleaning on the table and work on some of the stuff that I picked up on the side.

this was TUE @ Break Time

Scott Lee
Josh (teammate)
Jim (opponent's team & friend)
Dootysquat (teammate)
KK9
David (teammate & friend of Diogenes)

.

Mystery solved! I inadvertently picked up KK9's book, and took it with me. Discovered that today, and am mailing it back to him in the morning. Sorry Matt! Many thanks for the use of your fantastic table Pat!

Had a great lesson yesterday at BreakTime in Cary NC, and today at Big Daddy's in Glen Burnie. Still in town tomorrow, and then I head for DE for two days of lessons.

Wait a minute... I was there... how did I not end up in that shot?
Oh yea... I was at the bar after my match getting smashed on White Russians with Mary....
Nevermind.

Scott, it was a pleasure for me to have you in my home, watch you work (particularly on my table) and to get your input and help on several aspects of my game. It was also great getting to know you and I look forward to the next time that we hook up. That quick 8 ball game between you and I during the intermission of Matt's lesson was impressive... (for anyone reading this, I had 3 balls left and Scott was down to the 8. I played what in league play would have been a great safety, hiding the cue ball behind a line of all 3 of my balls. Scott called his pocket... not a safety then made a kick off the side rail into the 8 for a 3' roll center pocket in the corner... I'm not sure there is any such thing as making a great safety shot against Scott LOL :).
Believe me when I say that all who were present that evening... particularly Matt, David and I, enjoyed everything about the session. My wife even called her brother in Charlotte the next day to gloat about it :)

Stay safe on the road my friend,
Pat

Good read! Sounds like you all had a great time. I come to G'boro occasionally on business and have played at Gate City a couple times. Enjoyed the time.

Hi Bill! Yeah, we all had a great time! That PinkLady and KK9 kept me up well past my "normal" 2am bedtime, and I'm sure it's gonna take a couple of days to catch up on sleep! LOL

Well, I'm officially a UPA league member now, so watch out next time I come to J'Ville! LOL Hope your lessons are going well, and that the league is doing great. Looking forward to doing a pool school with you this summer! Currently I'm near Dover DE for the next few days! :D

A little funny @ the above bolded...

My UPA team had league when Scott was in town. Unbeknownst to me, shitstirrin Pinky asked our LO if our new alternate (Scott) could play and come in rated as a 2 (UPA ranks from 1 to 10, unlike other leagues). She claims it was approved.

So, Tues nite I am making the lineup w/ opposing captain. Pinky tells me "LO says my alternate can be a 2". I reply "I might get shot if I put Scott in as a 2!". Sigh.... I call for a team meeeting.

Long story short, Scott says "put me in as a 10". I smile as I take off my bullet proof vest. I put him up against a 4, while their captain asks me "what's a 10?".

Scott has to race to a million, the 4 has to go to 2.

Their match starts, & after the 1st shot, Scott starts giving this wide eyed nice young man (Joe) a lesson, shot by shot! I am revolted and call Homeland Security declaring this must be treason!

Mr. Scott Lee was at my house a while back working with me on a genetic problem I had, chicken-winging. His program worked wonders.

He was a fun guest to have here and, obviously, he knows his biz.

Regarding parties and such down in NC with Pinky and KK9, maybe if there was ever some chowda being served, they might see some folks come from New England.

Just sayin'.

best,
brian kc

KChicken... Pinky and I cooked up some Philly ChzSteaks for Mr Scott (and egg stew next morning). We could go a bit further north on a recipe for some chowda for a quasi-respected AZer such as you. ;)

But somehow, I'm suspecting, your recipe would give mine the 7 out!

That said, I'm betting I have more pepto-bismol. :grin-square:

What the hell is 'egg stew'?

Lol, the egg stew didn't last long enuf for a pic. It was scrambled eggs with everything in it but the kitchen sink. I sauteed green, red peppers & onion to start. Threw in some danish ham, roasted red peppers. A little salt, pepper, and onion salt. Last into the stew process are whisked eggs w/ a touch of sour cream, a few drops of juice from "sweet and hot peppers" and a handful of sharp cheddar.

I find scrambling eggs to be easier to make "easy" than an omelot. I like my eggs to be a little wet (amongst other things ;) )

If you have Maryland Crab Soup, count me in as well.

;)

There's good crabs and bad crabs. Maryland has the best of both. ;) J/K! Other than Alaskan King, Maryland's blue is the best crab! If they ever put me in the electric chair, that's my last meal request. It's better than lobster IMO.

Sounds great, I'm gonna try it....well, everything but the ham.......
......maybe some taters O'Brien.

pt.....eats like a Jew

I never ate a crab I didn't like.

:)
