That's seriously messed up. This moron will undoubtably affect other people's deals here, I'm hoping that doesn't happen with this community cause it would really suck if it did. This is a place to be HONEST for God's sake.

I would definatly do a charge-back Joe and report the person to Pay Pal. Sorry you ran into an asshole like that.

I'm from the days of following through on deals ESPECIALLY when they're done an a hand shake like that.
 
Thanks folks...I have filed a dispute/claim with Paypal. We will see where it goes from here.

The party still has not responded to either this thread, PMs, Emails, or Paypal's attempts to communicate.

Pay pal

You're safe, pay pal with give it back ,but only if you paid with a credit card. Otherwise they'll tell you they have to wait until the funds appear in his/ her account.

It's just a good thing you're warning others, because this person might have gotten wise and now may ask for a check or money order from the next victim..

Joe, if you've tried to contact the stiff and haven't got any response,
then you should escalate your complaint to a claim with Paypal. I've gone through the process a couple of times when I didn't receive what I paid for with Paypal. Once Paypal hears from you that you tried to contact the seller, Paypal will try again to contact the stiff. It takes a couple of weeks, but you will get credit.

Hate to see such a great guy on here deal with crap like this.

There seems to be an influx of newbies on here, which is great, but also causes us all to take more precautions when dealing. It is especially sad to see this happen to one of the good guys around here who is always willing to help and work with people.

I hope this is resolved quickly for you.

I think everyone can agree with me in saying that we all appreciate what you do around here.

Until this situation is resolved I think it should be kept public.
I know that it's tough to go public and say you've been had and it happens to the best of us, even Bama.
Joe didn't waste a lot of time bringing this out and hopefully he has saved other forum members the same fate.

Sneakypete76 has some explaining to do if he ever wants to do business on AZ Billiards, and if anyone knows him they should do what they can to help.
 
Doesn't look like he has been on since 3-16-2010. I wonder if his IP address has any other identities on here. He may just be cruising and reading as a guest so he does not need to log on.

He still has not responded to me via PM, email, or through the Paypal resolution center.

I elevated the case to a claim...we will just wait and see what happens.

Sneakypete76, if you read this, I would still like to reach some sort of resolution on the purchase of the Nova pool cue that I made with you on 3-11-2010 through AZ Billiards. Please either send me the cue that I purchased, or refund my $450 through Paypal.

Since you filed the claim with paypal, I'm sure you'll get you money back. What sucks is, it will probably take a month or better. I had a guy screw me on ebay once, that's about how long it took me to get it back, but at least I got it back. Good luck.

I hope this does work out for you, I had a deal go bad awhile ago with sneakypete1011 and he will forever be on my do not do business with list, forever.


And soak them knee's in some epsom salt then rub'em down with tiger balm! Works great for me....

i hope sneakypete76 just makes it right!! Paypal takes care of it in time, but it would be nice for him/or her to just to send the cue to you,or refund the money without the wait. IMHO

Yes, I think you are right, Spokeo seems flaky (maybe it only shows accurate stuff if you pay for it), but the other site relates both the Sandy Thompson and Pete Bascos. Jr IDs to Ohio....apparently around Canton.

I am going to call Paypal tomorrow and try to get the true registered address of the person I sent the money to.

I Googled Pete Bascos and if that is the man you are looking for he is indeed from the Canton, Ohio area. He is playing out of a place called Louisville Town Tavern. http://www.elummusic.com/league.pcgi?fm_id=2
He is currently ranked #9 in what would appear to be the local VNEA league in that area.
I would imagine we have someone in that area that could persuade him to make good.
The important thing to do is verify that this is the right guy.

Thanks...yes, it is important that the right person is held accountable. If these cues were available/known by someone in that area, someone on here will be able to find out.

I had no prior knowledge of this name or email until a member on here sent me a message about their contact reference the cues prior to my purchase. This is the email address and name from that contact with him.
