faux ivory butcap (chipped) see picture
2 original 13mm shafts (straight) with less than 2 hours play, combined
2 custom predator z shafts with matching phenolic ringwork (paid $300 each)
mint condition whitten 1x2 case with gina cue logo.
cue retailed for $3800 + $1000 in extras (shafts and wrap)
will sell for $2400!!!!!
Why, well this cue had an accident. it,s forearm was cracked below the joint, and above the points. when i first spoke to Ernie about the damage, he told me to ship him the cue, but not to get my hopes up. He said he wouldnt repair the cue, "UNLESS I CAN REPAIR IT, DEAD NUTS STRAIGHT, I WILL REFUSE TO DO IT!!" His theory was that his name was still on a cue out there. So, he spliced about 2 inches off the cue, adding on a new piece of closely matched birds eye maple. Now of course, the work is meticulous, its dead straight (according to ernie) but there is a visible seam. It isnt noticieable, unless your looking for it, or know its there. I dont want to mislead anyone, though, it isn't something you have to look hard for, there is a seam, and upon close inspection, you WILL see it. I tried to show it in the picture i took.
Additionally, there is a chip in the butcapp, when the cue hit the metal corner on a table at Amsterdam billiards.
again, first $2400, takes it.
thanks
