Heres a thought, if you want to be a pro pool player hows about

calling/e-mailing/visiting pool companies and pool hall owners

for a job(sales)/sponsorship while you work a real job and play

tournament's. If thats too hard then grab some cardboard and

a marker. Fact is you dont play good enough, you are a good

amateur and nothing more.

First I will like to say thanks for being understanding last week .
I think you are being a little tough on mike .
I didn't read his whole post
But doesn't he offer a 50 50 split of any profit won ?
This sport is so hard to make it if we don't help some players out then this sport will prolly die .
With all the pool players on az billiards we should send players to tourneys .
Say 20 to 30 guys but up 50 each everyone gets a little sweet.
That's just my 2 cents but I'm a player so I'm sure that's why I see it this way .

In this thread he is asking for "sponsorship", not a stake but he said he's willing to consider being staked. ps are you gonna be at derby this year? I believe I have an ice cream comin my way from the smooth criminal :cool:

I was going to do this whole joke bit on: "Send straightpool_99 to porn valley", with some stuff about "working hard", tattooing logos on junk etc..But why even bother? These begging threads have gotten way out of hand. This forum has aged me by 6 decades. Waking up today my arm hurt, my back hurt and was shaking my fist, murmuring "get a job, you bums". This is what getting old must feel like.

All kidding aside, take the advice people give you. Turn the negative into a positive and have fun with it. Start a youtube channel, and call it "playing pool the wong way!".
A couple of 2 or 3 minute videos of you playing and then you could have instructional
videos available for sale. It would take a lot of work though, but you could practice while
you make the videos. Make "pool the Wong Way" T-shirts and sell them. Its politically incorrect and people may say something to you, and you can tell them thats my name what about it. "If your having fun at your job its not work"
 
there's a $2500 1P tourney @ Chandley's that started last weekend, which i'm sure is still going on.... :grin: you're welcomed to stay here! but our foreclosure date is 12.24, so you'll need to plan accordingly.

He already came for a free roll to the US Open and got one. He deserved a 2 and out. Why would we flush cash on him. Chris Bartrum or 50 other players on this site could actually get staked for Derby.

Mike can't get staked because he is lacking in ability. He is a strong player, but he has no chance this year. I will make the same bet that he flops again in every discipline. Even banks, where everyone registers so they get the week pass included and either bo-show or have no business playing.
