Hi Cardigan Kid,
I've been hitting them good. I'm working on my fundamentals a lot, and trying to make sure they are in place when the pressure is on. Todd Fleitman from New Jersey offered to help me with my game before the Open, so I gladly took him up on his offer. He pointed out that my alignment was slightly off. So I've been working on correcting that.
The last few days I also reviewed the matches that I got from Upstate AL, trying to see what other parts of my game needs work.
I ordered a accu-rack so I am practicing with that also, it is a little challenging with the 9 on the spot.
I don't have a surplus of games available in NYC. Sometimes I practice with my friend Lee Kang, who is a very solid player from Korea. Hopefully before the Open I will be able to hustle some Filipinos to play me some cheap sets, so I can get some serious practice in.
There are a lot of tournaments coming up, so it will help me get in stroke. This weekend will be the New Jersey State 9-ball at Sand Castle, the following week will be the Gotham City Billiard Club Classic, then the U.S. Open, and then the Steinway Classic. So this will be a very busy month. I want to make sure that my game will peak at the right time.
