I bought a new tiger shaft from spankman8. I was actually looking for a used one on here. He contacted me to buy a new one from him.He knew a guy named Ken at the company that could give a good price. I wanted a 30" 12.75 mm to fit a Viking sneaky pete with a quick release joint. They sent me a shaft with a black collar and a dent in it, I really wasn't worried about the dent I could sweat it out.. But the black collar looked really bad on my cue. As it is known a sneaky pete is wood to wood.. I contacted spankman8, first he tried to get me to sell it and that he really didn't know what to do, because he never hade to return anything to that company. Then finally he told me to send it back to Ken they would exchange it for the right one. I sent it back priority mail.With a letter apologizing for any confusion and stating exactly what I wanted. Did not hear anything from anyone. Finely got in touch with spankman he said he was at a poker tournament and that's why he didn't get back to me.. Then his rep.ken was away and then he got a new job and was working allot so couldn't look into it. Kept telling me it was on the way I should have received it.. :confused: Finally it got here , I was a happy boy until I opened the box.. They sent me back the same exact shaft that I paid to have returned:eek: . I contacted spankman, just got runaround, not his fault, he can't help it, nothing he can do.I told him to give me back all my money + shipping and I would send him the shaft. Now he's not answering my emails.:mad: .What's a honest buyer to do.... Live and learn..
 
Sounds a GIANT runaround to me. Let's hope he gets on here and answers.
 
I emailed him a few times telling him I was going to do this.. Asking him to do the right thing, not a word.
 
Isn't he the same guy that ran the "raffle" which had an ambiguous winner? not too long ago...if so lets rat him out!!
 
now i could see if there was a defect or something with the shaft.. then maybe you should or could have to deal direct with tiger or whatever.. but if they completley sent you the wrong thing.. then it should be his responcibility to take care of it not give the run around..

sounds like you caught a raw deal. with any luck he'll post something on this forum explaining or try to make it right.

Wow! As often as spankman8 is on here and as quickly as he replies whenever someone is looking to buy a cue, I think it is really fishy he has not replied to this post yet. Even if it was a communications breakdown or an honest mistake, not posting a reply here with a quickness makes him look real bad. I am glad I had second thoughts about making a purchase from him.

I hope in the end you are taken care of properly.

You should have bought one from Martin "jazznpool" he has great deals on Tiger shafts and has the very best customer service. A great Honest guy to deal with, super fast shipping.:)

I hope you get a refund.
 
Yes you sure right there.. jazzinpool offered me a good deal at the time also, but I hade already agreed to do business with the other clown.. My loss..

Just to make everyone aware of the name here. The person who this thread is about is "spankman8"

There is another member on here who has done many nice deals and has a similar name, "spanky981"

This can be a problem with forums as a new member can sign up with a very close name to a well known member.

I am sorry to hear you are having so many problems getting the right product.

As I read your post, was someone suggesting that this "Ken" worked for Tiger? We do not have now nor ever had a "Ken".

I hope everything works out, sounds like you are going in the right direction to get it resolved. I tried to get some references for spankman8 a while back on the forum. But no one could vouch for him here. I read about his raffle and stayed away from buying from him. He seemed very pushy to sell me a cue, which was a big red light for me. Because he did not have any pics of the cue, and he said either he or his partner could order me one.

From reading this post,it looks like Tiger takes care of their product even if someone misrepresented themselves as a Tiger rep.That is a great business move by Tiger it shows a lot of character for their sales manager,too.Great job.:)
 
Corey is a great guy, just don't let him hustle you into a game of Billiards. He 3-rails pretty damn good.

...this is a real class move on the part of CrownCityCorey and Tiger Products. Wonderful show of customer service. I would certainly do business with and recommend a company that would exhibit customer service in such a positive manner. It is all too rare in today's business world.
