If I read the brackets right, Shane plays Boyes next.
Will this be tonight? Or earlier.
This match is huge, a lot of drama from Mosconi cup and world cup of pool rivalries.
Shane has edge because he is in his time zone/comfort zone.
Shane wins 11-8.

Assuming they will play down to four as usual on a US Open Friday, this match will be in the day session. Boyes demolished 2-time US Open Champion Darren Appleton 11-1 in his last match, so he must be playing pretty sporty.

This could be a good one and a Boyes win would hardly be an upset, but I'm picking Shane here, 11-9.
 
If Boyes gets to 7....I'm gonna go to the toughest bar in town....
.....and sucker punch the doorman.

Boyes will win for sure! score maybe 11-6 or 11-7 tops! i wanted SVB to win! hope he gets some pool GOD help!
 
Shane has to win this Open to solidify his record as untouchable when it comes to consecutive wins. Then he'll only need ONE more to tie with Earl, how strong is that? But I do agree that we need to see some new faces win it.

Haha, I'm with you on this one.
There's nothing I dredd more than the thought of Boyes holding a us open trophy.
 
Not sure which way to go on this one.

Karl hasn't had to break much of a sweat yet in this tournament, while Shane's been challenged each match. I'm not sure which path better prepares a player for battle. Karl should be mentally fresh but maybe not quite as locked in as Shane. So I think Karl will make a couple of early mistakes that cost him a few racks. He'll fall behind early but fight his way back, but it won't be quite enough to send the reigning champion to the B side.

I'll take Shane 11-9.
 
I don't think Shane has bad blood with Boyes re: Mosconi Cup
Boyes has bad blood wth Earl though

This is 11-10 or 11-9 match, Shane should win this

Why would they not have this match on the tv table??? unbelievable.

Shane is on the hill, 10 to 6. This is a winner's side match, so both will still be in the tournament, win or lose. ;)
 
Shane opened up with both barrels it seems like. Anyone watch this match? Can we get some details?
I understand it wasn't on tv table....can't believe that decision.
