Shane vs Jesse update

Jesse snaps the 9

Shane breaks and plays safe on the one Jesse scratches but the 2 3 and 9 are tied up. Shane studies for a full 2 minutes and pulls shape in a tiny window and gets out. Shane 29 to 22.

But Shane breaks and runs out the next rack to win the set 30 to 23.

I am out of here.

He is representing a lot better that Corey did.

I don't know about that....looks like when you wrote this score was 27-20. Percentage-wise, that would come out to 100-74. It's also an almost entirely different kind of game than he played with Corey.

Edit: Congrats to Shane! I spose someone will let us know if they play another set?

Thank you. I think you added 3 or 4 rep greenies for your work!

I stated previously on the other SVB vs Jesse thread that Jesse had no chance

losing by 7 racks in a race to 30 on a bar table with alternate breaks is an absolute thrashing

lol at comparing a one trick pony like Jesse to a world class pool player like Shane, having never met the man I can only think he is somewhat delusional believing he ever had a chance

now let's see some nine foot action and winner breaks so we can watch Jesse just get completely abused

Actually I think Dardusm made out like a bandit. If I understand correctly it was Dardusm's log in but thecoats doing all of the commentary.

smashmouth: Nice, we'll wait while you go put your steel toes on for the next round of "kick the man while he's down".

That's what I did too. Not that I don't appreciate Dardusm getting thecoats online. As I understand from the posts thecoats had a log in problem and we wouldn't have enjoyed this without both of them.

no, I called this 8 days ago, said Jesse was gonna get smoked

the reality is we all look to the players we like and often exaggerate their skills

I mean no disrespect towards Jesse, he's a great player, but the truth is he is in fact a specialist, has never won a major tourney and is simply not in Shane's league

In what way? Completely different game, rules and table. Results are close to the same however. Corey had to deal with Shanes break in a winner break format. If this was winner break it would be no contest, period and end of story.

My two cents. Jesse is a helluva player! He just got hooked up with one of the hottest players on Earth right now. No disgrace here. There are very few guys who really want to tangle with Jesse, and I wouldn't hesitate a minute to bet on him. He showed a lot of heart to tee it up with Shane, who everyone else is ducking right now.

Jesse's a great guy and a very talented pool player. I like the way he handles himself. I'll bet he didn't say boo when he lost, just shook Shane's hand and congratulated him. Dwaine raised a winner here.

I agree with Jay on this topic. There are not too many people that are a big favorite playing Jesse on the Bar Box. In fact just a few years ago Jesse was beating everyone in the Midwest on Bar Box pool at the casino tournaments, including Shane. Now don't take me wrong Shane is a stronger player and I was routing for Shane all the way, but Jesse is a monster on the Bar Box and is completely fearless. I would have loved to watched this in person, but thanks for the play by play!

Shane wanted alternate the breaks or he would not play.

Have you ever played in the BCA national tournament in Vegas?
There is like 3000 people in the open and Masters, Jesse won the under 14, the open and the Masters, and he is still young. Around 25 or so.
