Congrats to Shane. This is the start of something BIG!

I think this goes to show all the Jesse bashers from a couple of weeks ago, that Jesse ran into a buzz saw in Des Moines that night!

This guy is good!

Shane has attended most of my events over the years. He has always been one of my favorite players and one of the nicest people in this sport. I have said over and over again that I wish that more players were like Shane. His professionalism, his complete talent, and respect of other players not only makes him the player to beat, but the personality to beat as well.

Congratulations Shane, I am very happy for you, and proud to call you a friend of mine.

I mentioned this in another thread but it was lost in the melee...

SVB is the reigning World 10-Ball Champion (May 2007) and the reigning US Open 9-Ball Champion (October 2007). That's strong folks!

Theres only 2 words to describe this feat..........VERY IMPRESSIVE!Congrats Shane.I had the enjoyment of watching him here in calgary at the S.M.L. Open a couple of years ago,and the word going around was WATCH OUT for this kid.
Shane, you are the hottest player going these days, keep it up,and good luck at the worlds.

Hey, I like your avatar! :D :p :)

I agree. The chat room was very typical of forum culture, and some of the comments, made by VETERAN members on this forum, were reflective of the same crap that occurs on unmoderated pool-related discussion boards.

It was hard to wade through the BS, but if you did endure it, there were a couple of beautiful gems to be found. The coverage by Tom was EXCELLENT, thank goodness. :)

Oh, yeah, one more thing. I wonder if there were more CHAT ROOM participants than there were attendees sweating the U.S. Open match live and in person!

Also, I would be interested to know how many subscribers signed up for the live BCN coverage.

I need to get the pic of me and Keith signed, hope you all are at D.C.C. this year. I'm not beyond subscribing to BCN if I only find out how? LES

The only thing i could see stoping shane at the wpc is the race to 5 round robin in the first round . That format is a crap shoot and it should be changed.

It has been changed. Now it's race to nine, DE in the prelim rounds. Much better.

Much better format now. Each player has to win 2 matches to advance (after 2 wins the player is qualified, only the rest of the group has to play to get 2 wins), and 2 loses to be kicked out, so all matches are important in the group stage. No more laying down for someone else.

This will make sure that most of the heavy guns are going to advance to the next round.
