Shaw or Orcullo or Shane?

Good point ! Thanks for clarifying !
But i think i didnt phrase my question properly.

So i get it that both have backers but why does Shane seems to be doing way better off if Dennis is presumed to be winning alot in tournaments and money games.
I mean Shane choose when he wants to play now n takes alot time off fishing while Dennis seems to be struggling financially trying to win every tournament n money game .

Dennis has a family and two homes. Shane is single and lives at home.

Dennis 10b break has improved a bunch since the tar match.

Similarly to Bergman killing Shaw. Shaw's 10b break has gotten crazy good. Maybe even better than Shane.

Ill say it again...alla Mike Tyson. Everyone has a plan until they get hit in the face. Watching SVB break perfect for 3 days is tough to fade.

Better doesn't equal world class.

JL Chang didnt seem to have a problem fading Shane's big break. Shane has won a ton but isnt invincible. He's recently lost to Ruslan, the greek player, and JL Chang gambling.

Big Ko also has a winning record against Shane in major competitions, if I remember correctly, plus their race to 20 something challenge match a couple of years ago.

We see Shane, Dennis, and Shaw on tons of streams year round, but Wu and Ko only once in a blue moon. Don't let familiarity cause you to ignore other players:)

1) Can't count Ruslan because that was with last-minute gaffy break rules. He wasn't fading Shane's usual break.

2) Nobody said Shane is invincible. But I'm with Nick that Shane would put him into a coma again, in a long race. Shane doesn't win 'em all but he's obviously quite comfortable and often dominant in the format.

Oh he can lose. Just when it comes to a big match with long set. Nobody has to like it.

Who has Shaw beat of any significance(top player) gambling?
He's still in the minor leaguesompared to the other two.

Highly doubt Shaw would play or could beat Dennis, SVB, either Ko brother, jung, Chang, I mean he has no step to stand on here. Bergman roasted him and he quit, was in total give up stroke, no fight from behind.

Not to mention SVB and Dennis can actually play all games well, Shaw can play rotation, that's it, period.

I think we wont see Shaw get on the table vs Shane or Dennis anytime soon.

Earlier Alex was calling out for a race 100 9ball, Shaw said on fb he was getting the money together, and no update since then.

Of the top dogs, there are not many who would jump in a long 100 race, lets name, Shane, Dennis, Alex, anyone else?

No one can fade Shane's 10 ball break. In 9 ball it's a coin toss but in 10 Ball Shane wins period when he gets his break going can pull away fast.

Watching Shane play 10 Ball is what it use to be like watching Earl Stricklin play 9 Ball.

Dennis stays in constant action. His winnings don't stay in this country very long. It is my understanding that he is using his winnings wisely. His break has improved noticeably.

I don't believe Shane has the focus he had a few years ago. However, with the right motivation he could probably get back to the level he once was.

I also don't believe Shaw has his emotions well enough under control at this point to win a long match. No doubting that he is a monster.

If they were to match up regularly there might be different winner each time. They are definitely the Gold Standard.

Most of Dennis' winnings from tourneys and money games go to a lot of mouths that need to be fed. I'm talking about several families rely on him. In some ways this is good for Dennis, it keeps him hungry and when there is cheese, you can bet it, he will be all over it.

I'd say he "can play" other games, too. Here are some of Jayson Shaw's finishes in non-rotation events:

3rd -- 2017 DCC 14.1 Challenge
1st -- 2016 Accu-Stats Make-It-Happen 8-Ball
2nd -- 2016 DCC Banks
4th -- 2016 DCC One-Pocket
5th -- 2016 American 14.1 Championship
1st -- 2015 NYC 8-Ball Championship
2nd -- 2015 DCC 14.1 Challenge (plus 1st in qualifying high runs with 227)
9th -- 2015 World 14.1 Tournament
