anyone have a copy of shots moves and strategies that they would be willing to trade to sell? i have been looking around but haven't had any luck.

Try to contact Sarge in Seattle. He has a few copies left. I think he getting about $350 for that copy. I know that is high but that is what they are going for on ebay. racemsucker can put you in touch with him. The bible for excellent 1 hole players.

i found a few on the net for around 100 bucks... the highest i saw was 275. i thought i might get a better deal from some fellow pool players.

Im not selling them, I agree that super high. He is only one I know that has brand new ones. $100 thats cheap even for a used one. Good luck, a must have for the 1 pocket enthusiest.

I have a copy that has been leafed through but looks new. I will take $160 shipped. If you have found them for less I would pick one up.

Shots, Moves and Stategies

Check out the story of my match with Jimmy Fusco on page 71-72. Toupee could play a little once upon a time.

As Bunny Rogoff (Pots and Pans) liked to say, "I'd rather be a 'Has Been' than a 'Never Was' ".

$300  For that price it should teach you to move like a ghost and run 8 and out every time you get a shot.

Hah hah Jay! I don't have my copy here in Iraq, but I remember the story!

They are playing a tourney match, and Jimmy has Jay in a trap, with a ball near Jimmy's hole, and Jay shoots a push shot that basically follows through THE ENTIRE STACK to bank a ball straight into Jay's hole, and Jimmy says "WHAT KIND OF SHOT WAS THAT??".

Jimmy dogs it the rest of the match, and Jay takes him down! Priceless!

They go by fairly often on eBay. They ranged from $99 to $205 over the last two years. I have one to trade -- $150 nominal value.

I was lucky enought o pick up both Winning One Pocket and Shots, Moves, and Strategies. They are the best books I have ever bought, period. Mine aren't for sale, but I'd say if you can get the pair for less than $300.00, do it. If you are a One Pocket player, that is.

There are a lot of shots in both books that look like trick shots, until they come up in a game. Doesn't have to be One Pocket, either... I haved fired back a "One Pocket" two railer while drawing the ball for safety in case the two railer comes up short plenty of times in a 9 ball game. And in 8 ball, if you miss good position on your last stripe or solid, sometimes there is not choice but to go for a 2, 3, or 4 railer.

Get 'em.

Something like that. I didn't really push it. I shot thru a frozen ball. And hit the ball I was aiming for. Then I got behind the stack and ran out. Jimmy was a little shell shocked after that. He had me dead trapped.

I bought both books at the LA Open and had them autographed by a lot of people there. In particular, a lot of the Chinese, Taiwanese and Filipinos. I just can't find them now since we moved. :(
