Sickest run out ever?

I just remembered another sick as in silly rack. None other than the goat, Efren Reyes. He played a nice safety, other than a ball falling. I think he did that maybe two or three times more. Great safeties, he was laughing about it before it ended and he finally got out in that rack!

This one is infested with contagion. Almost literally.

I once broke and ran, them immediately puked in a bucket. That wasn't really 'sick', as much as 'extremely inebriated'.

If you aim your masse shots like Coriolis taught (see below) the only thing you have to adjust is stroke speed so the CB will curve at the right moment.

Wow, this suddenly has the feel of an aiming thread. If you know the aim, you'll never miss, right?

Knowing how to aim it and making a shot are two different matters. It was the execution, not the shot planning, that stands out here.

I, too, am familiar with Coriolis' paper on masse shots, which, for many years, could only be read in French, and yes, he had a remarkable command of the subject matter.

Sorry, Dave, any attempt to dismiss this shot as less than truly outstanding is unfair to Melling.

What about Varner's run out against Sigel at the the '90 US Open? I think he was down 9-2 in a race to 11 and had to kick in two balls to win the rack and start the comeback........

Well, I would say your pocketing skills are excellent but you need some work on placing the white ball after the shot. Consider working on things like the "stop shot" and the "draw shot". I did like the way you positioned the white ball for the seven ball -- the second time.

For those who were wondering about Kaci's 10-ball runout mentioned above, here it is. Start at 1:38:30 if your browser doesn't take you there automatically....

Great shooting poolmanis!

Don't worry about the haters. They aren't impressed with 700 ball straight pool runs either. You are in good company!

Yes. I did not remember that. It is pretty neat one.

The 2 ball shot was money! Nicely done! I rarely run a 15-ball rotation rack without a good roll early on. Lots of traffic. I don't usually get that many though! Glad you caught in tape! I enjoyed watching it!

The timing shot that got things started is one extremely few would have even found, and even fewer would have attempted.
I really enjoyed that runout, but I interpreted the first shot as a two-way shot: a carom of the 4 off the 13 directly into the corner, while positioning the cue ball unfavorably for his opponent in the likely event he missed the carom. Then he lucked into the timing shot aspect of it. Otherwise, why play it that way? He would definitely be hooked on his next shot even if he made it. He was probably expecting the 13 to rebound further down table (if he had caromed the 4 correctly) and the cue ball would then come back out off the side rail a little more for a direct shot on the 2.

To me that makes the runout even more impressive. Rather than playing an awfully planned first shot, which would detract from his runout, he accidentally hooked himself and still managed to run out. But I'm open to being convinced the other way--that he really did plan an elaborate timing-combination shot with no real chance of a follow-up shot if he were to make it.

Thanks. I got bunch of these kind of 15ball racks on hard drive :D
That one was just craziest.
I digged one up and uploaded it too. It is very difficult run without so much luck involved. I made it tough to myself with one speed error... I did remember it and now when i saw it myself i liked it too. BANK EM!
