I used to collect signs I liked and often hung them at my businesses although I usually took them down before too long because while they might have a touch of truth to them they didn't project the image I wanted for my businesses.
How about posting appropriate signs for pool halls or cue shops, ones that you have seen or ones that you think would fit perfectly!
Some personal favorites:
Our Highly Skilled and Knowledgeable Staff are Eager to Assist You. The picture was of four Chimps with tools in their hands. The sign was too accurate at my salvage yard, I had to take it down after a year or two.
"You want it when???" The picture is of four or five guys helpless with laughter. Definitely a sign to post in my shop!
My favorite: "This isn't Burger King. You get it my way or you don't get the SOB!" A lot of truth to that one. I accommodate customers where I can but it is within the narrow confines of what I think is the best quality I can turn out.
These two were favorites for my office when I was a wage slave but again didn't seem to project quite the right attitude:
"There were a hell of a lot of things they didn't tell me when I signed on for this job!" There is a cartoon last I knew but the original had a photograph of an old cowboy showing a lot of hard miles. I'm interested in buying a copy of the earlier version if anyone has or runs across one.
"Why don't you take your silly assed little problem down the hall to somebody who cares?" That one only stayed up a few hours, seemed career limiting in a big way for a contract worker!
Despite the seemingly negative attitude expressed by these signs I did have a customer service department with a manager to handle any customer complaints. The department was a large oak tree out front with a "Customer Service" sign nailed to it and the manager was "Chopper" about 85 pounds of the ugliest pit bull I have ever seen chained to the tree during business hours. That was letting people off easy. If they thought it was bad trying to deal with Chopper, let them try dealing with my ex-wife when she was having a bad day!
Let's see some more signs, pictures or text. Keep them fun and appropriate for pool related businesses please.
