I have 6 month old Simonis 860 and the balls, Centennials, are picking up fuzz as they roll along. I keep the tablel and balls very clean. I've brushed the table, vacuumed it, used the Simonis pad, and ran a slightly damp terry cloth over the surface, all to no avail! The fuzz keeps coming! Any ideas?

So the cloth seems to have fuzz opposed to feeling smooth?
Cleaning the pockets or ball return?
Here in Finland we have very cold winter this year. Now around - 30 celsius and last week - 40. When it is so cold humidity goes near zero and all cloths get fuzz. Happens every winter, every cloth. Especially snooker cloths. Dunno where you live but just my 2 cents from north.

This may be, probably is, off topic but I just asked a local installer to recover our table with Simonis 860 Tournament Blue (or Green) & was told that is is unobtaninum?. We were offered a substitute "just as good"??. Sorry for the tangent. Living in a rural area has it's positives but also you must deal with only one or two sellers/dealers/etc.
What area are you in. You could order it online and just pay the labor for installation
Simonis suffered a fire a while ago that impacted availability.

Take a blacklight to it. On the smooth' play' side is a strip that says 'Simonis' every meter. As for the 'pilling' my local place just got new 860 and its kinda like this as well. Not as bad as woolen gets but not as smooth as 860 in the past. I'm wondering if a batch didn't get sheared. I msg'd Simonis so we'll see what they have to say.

FYI, my bottles of oxiclean say, in tiny print on the back, to not use oxyclean on wool.
i have always used a few squirts of oxI-clean in the hot water. Water comes out in the bowl pretty dirty when I’m finished. My table get 2-3 hours of use daily. No breaks, still looks really well. I mean really good. Just cleaned it on Sunday. Washed the balls, vacuumed, wiped down. Looks amazing. Still might recover in July, which would be 18 months of use. There is nothing better than playing on a diamond with new cloth
)Oxyclean in full concentrations can damage wools/silks. Might cause bleaching and/or breakdown of the fabric. I wouldn't use it on good cloth. Just use plain water or a Woolite/water mix.
Thanks for all the replies! I've been around a long time and have tried many different kinds of cloth. I like Tour Edition 3030 and that didn't seem to leave fuzz. This time I went with the best, so I thought. And yes it is very dry here in Phoenix and much cooler this time of the year. And the cloth does not seem as smooth as past Simonis I've had. It almost does seem like bootleg cloth. It's also way slower than previous Simonis. I guess I'll just keep cleaning my balls, ha ha ha!
