Call up Simonis, tell them you have some questions about installing the bed cloth...they'll tell you to call ME, if they can't answer your questions!!!

Looks great Rick...but what happend to the rail cloth?:D
Black rails is what they wanted and the pic is washed out because I had to lighten it.
A photographer I'm not.

Well you do great work thats for sure and you have much much more experience then me. I hope Simoins does do something about their instructions.

A friend of mine once told me," don't worry about being the richest guy in town, theres nothing wrong with being third or fourth".

Gotto go to bed now, the gym opens at 5.

Sounds to me like you're still undecided as to how to install the bed cloth, still learning to be a mechanic huh?...I only have one method, don't matter what kind of cloth or table, and it works perfect EVERY time;)

Keep doing R&D...you'll get it someday:rolleyes:

I don't settle for second place, and won't accept second best from anyone I teach either...just ask Donny...aka SDbilliards!!! I didn't spend as much time with him as I did for him to be the third or fourth best mechanic in his area...I want him to be the best, as second best eats last!!!

A little better pic.
The only light in the place was from the table light with 1 bulb burned out, LOL.
Funny thing about black rails / blue bed - they make the table look smaller.

Need to see how the cloth and print holds up now, looks great though.

Yea, the print is really crisp (like our Hainsworth prints) compared to what we get with Championship prints.
Time will tell with this cloth.

And with regard to the title of this thread - Simonis has a very informative website
and they provide a significant amount of information about their products.

As they state, the cloth is best installed by a qualified mechanic.

I wasn't talking about an area, I work on average 2 days a week and I eat very well. Perhaps I am not #1 but I don't say I am. You guys have all ganged up on me, its obvious that you think I must know something isn't it.

Once again you have twisted my words. Its my fault I guess because I have been faulted many times for not making myself clear. When I do a snooker table, billiard table, antique ball return, antique drop pocket--- I use dif methods. Yes I do I do.

Last year my R + D costs represented 3.367094875039885673930 percent of my net operating profit.

This year I am going to allow 10%

I will say this also, you have inspired me more than any person to date to become the best there is.

Sadly I still have to beat a Grand Master in my area and he wears an apron to like another guy I knew.

well since they are picking on you i will let them pick on me some also.....
i also have 2 ways to install cloth...1 way for framed slate and another for unbacked slate .......

i also always cut all the rail cloth off before installing the bedcloth....
but since i dont do this work anymore it dont matter what i think ...

When you can do pocket work like this ALL the time, on any kind of table with backing under the slate, why look for a better way of finishing off the pockets?

OTLB, post some pictures of the pocket work you did on your GC4 Snooker table, I'd be interested in seeing how you've finished off the pockets on that table:wink:

Glen

Since you say you can do this method on ANY kind of table with wood backing ALL the time, I really would love to see it on an antique ball return model.

The only thing "obvious" is you're a legend in your own mind.

cloth pricing

I have been selling Simonis for years and my price is $50 less than yours on a 9ft table, though I don't post a link on every one of my posts to tell everyone.
I would not go around advertising that.:withstupid: :withstupid:

Hey, Dartman. Who did that logo on that cloth? I am interested in any information on that table. Also the guy who owns those has a Smart table for sale. Thanks, Ron

We did the print and it's on a cloth we're testing.
Are you talking about Chris (table for sale)?
