I have Finish relatives who ask me wtf?! A few times a year.

Unfortunately, the fanaticaledges of our society have stolen the microphone from the normal majority.

My investigation has given me instincts.

My instincts on the World 14.1 was in partnership with the WPA.
At the time maybe they were courting investors, but they never happened.
Alternate strategy turn Charlie Williams into a patsy.
Should a World 14.1 buyer come along, Charlie Williams is the guy with the title but not WPA level prize money. Makes Charlie the perfect person to help a new owner adjust.

As for the more serious fans that support Charlie Williams not getting sanctioned, I think that is part of the free marketing strategy.

I almost bought it hook line and sinker.

Pat Fleming made the American Straight Pool event, if he bought World 14.1 maybe he can do two 14.1 events at different times of the year. Or manage a person to run it.
Do you think Earl Strickland should move into promoting pool events? I like Pat Fleming more for that.

I dropped by Amsterdam Billiards yesterday afternoon. As I neared the entrance, I noticed that the lights in there were on, an encouraging sign, but the doors were locked and there was no sign on the door indicating when they planned to open or what hours they are planning to keep. Every indication is that they'll open very soon.

My daughter and Fiancé play at Eastside Billiards because its close to where they live. I did not notice their name on the list of the rooms. Eastside's page did not have any updates last time I looked either. I hope they also get to open.

At last, I am the bearer of good news!

Very pleased to report that Amsterdam Billiards is now open. I dropped by for about forty five minutes this afternoon. I have to give them a rave review for observing safety protocols. Everybody playing was wearing a mask and every other table is out of use to ensure social distancing. The room looked absolutely beautiful, too. I can't say I was surprised by any of this, as Amsterdam Billiards is managed as well as any pool room I've ever frequented. Next time, I'm bringing my cue.

I was delighted to catch up with the owner, the general managers, and I also ran into Thorsten Hohmann there. I had time for a nice chat with each.

For a safe pool playing experience, you can't make a better choice than Amsterdam Billiards. The two things you need to know, however, is that the bar is closed and the room closes every night at the state-imposed time of10:00 PM.

Pool in NYC is back and I plan to play this weekend for the first time since the last week of February 2020. I can't wait.

These are services a society requires. Apply whatever label you want, but a bus ride, a park, food for children who would otherwise be undernourished, clean water...all necessary to the degree that it makes sense to have such core needs overseen by government.
