SJM- TV Star

Stu,

You’ve had more tv time than anyone else, even the players. Smile!!!

I have seen Stu sitting ringside for more than a decade and even sat with him several times. He has a wealth of knowledge about the game and life for that matter. It seems that everyone knows and respects SJM at these tournaments.

So true Jim! What's not to like about Stu? He's always got a nice word to say about everyone...even sometimes when they don't necessarily deserve it! He's one of the biggest supporters of our sport, appearing at almost every major event, especially here in the USA! He's an ardent supporter of AzB, posting match results for us slugs that can't be there in person, or sometimes can't even watch a stream (thanks Stu). EVERYBODY wants to sit with him, dine with him, or just shoot the breeze with him, because he is extremely knowledgeable, and a delightful individual to be around! He has the respect of players and fans alike for the same above reasons!

Thank you Stu, from all of us, for all you do for pool!

Also in the crowd, Pat Flemming, and a nice touch with Emily Frazer sitting with Behrmans kids, and Duel joining them. Jay is there but have not spotted him yet.

Pat Flemming once said to Stu "you are on more accu stats DVDs than Shane Van Boening"
The guy is truly our ringside reporter.

Oh my. Here I am on my flight home from the US Open (Delta’s flight tracker says I’m presently flying over Nebraska) and Ifigured I’d try to catch up from the days I missed on the forum. This thread definitely caught me by surprise!

I’d not call myself a media sensation quite yet, but the love, attention, and respect I get from pool players and aficionados, including the kind words in this thread, mean the world to me.

I know and appreciate that I’ve had a few more breaks in life than most, and it has afforded me both the time and resources to pursue one of my greatest passions to the max —- watching great pool. A bonus part of the serving, though, is meeting so many of the great people in and on the periphery of the game —- fans, event producers and directors, referees, instructors, equipment gurus and, of course, the pro players themselves.

Sharing my experiences with the forum brings me a lot of joy. THat said, though, I’m just one of many pool gurus here at AZB grateful to have the chance to interact with so many others that share my passion.

Well said, well deserved Stu. Thanks for your insights on many tournaments.

Gracious post. We all appreciate your contributions.

I saw Stu all the time on camera. It is good to know there is not a bad seat in the house too. The set-up reminded me a little ib tof Cirque du Soleil's audience gallery.

It was fun to recognize audience members, many of whom are from AzBilliards.

How about our own Beetle? During the finals, he had front-row seats right next to Pia Filler. How cool is that!

You guys will see me on screen at Mosconi, while you’re home eating turkey.

Stu—see you there!

Oooh, you better let us know where you're sitting. :)

I notice on the snooker tournaments that some folks wear day-glow clothing. We are a bright day-glow shirt! We can't miss you, then.:grin::cool:

Unfortunately, Thanksgiving is a deal breaker for me and I won't attend this year. The pool gods willing, I'll be in Europe for the 2020 Mosconi Cup.
