Terry Ardeno

I still love my wife
Silver Member
I miss SJM posting and was wondering if any of our NYC people have seen him lately? His last post was January 24....
He writes with an eloquent insight into the subjects he posts on and has been one of my favorite members here since I joined AZB. I enjoyed his PMs about his 14.1 rankings. I also consider him one of our foremost pool historians here.

If he checks in here from time to time, I hope he notices that he's missed.

I saw him last weekend at Amsterdam Billiards. But come to think of it, I don't recall seeing him around for a while other than that.

I bumped into him last Sunday at Amsterdam. He mentioned he hadn't hit a ball in 7 weeks, but it looks like he's back.

That makes sense, it is our "busy season" so I'm sure he was clockin the hours pretty hard.

You're right, Terry. I've noticed his absence also and was hoping it was just a temporary work-related thing. His posts are always high quality and I hope we start seeing more of him here.

SJM - If you're reading this.....Come back soon. We miss you.

I agree, one of the best no BS posters here by far.

Come back Stu...come back!

Stu, Stu!! COME BACK STU!!!

I almost called him Shane by mistake. :)

Yes, he is one of my most admired posters on here. I miss his considered, rational posts.

Come back Stu!

Thanks for all the kind words in this thread, of which I was unaware until I saw friend and fellow AZ member Steve Lipsky earlier today.

In fact, I opted to spend just over a month attending to a personal health matter. A large serving of preventive medicine was what I needed and just what I got, and I am the better for it. Of course, it kept me away from pool and from the wonderful world of AZ Billiards but I am glad to be back and look forward to gradually becoming an active poster again.

Welcome back, you definitely were missed, and are a most appreciated influence here.

I am gradually re-entering the pool scene, Jay. I went to watch some of the action on Tony Robles' new tour yesterday and I was very impressed. Got the juices going again.

Still a bit early to determine which 2008 pro events I'll attend, but I'm starting to think it over.

I have to say that there are many prolific posters here in AZ, and whenever these posters spend weeks/months without a single post I barely notice until they begin posting again.

However, sjm is one of the very rare exceptions to this rule, and I was very much aware of his absence the past couple of weeks. AZ just seems incomplete without his thoughts. Nice to see him posting again.
