Hey Ken, I saw the cues today....maybe I shouldn't mention the ......"accident", Dennis says he can fix the the Twin's. Well here goes and please try not to get mad, ....... umm ummm.. I was leaning over the cues and I began to...... drool  and ......I drooled all over the Twin's, Dennis like freaked out and said to me "what have I told you about not wearing your drool cup"......ummm... I said you know I didn't do it on purpose:o . So anyway he said he has some like real good industrial cleaner and a grinder..... he said they should be ok.:D

The Twin's are like really gorgeous!!;)

Hey Scott,
You are a nutty... I knew you would get a quick peek..
Drool is a good sign.. That's the reaction I was looking for..
I liked the story....
Best,
Ken

That is a nicer pair than Pamela Anderson's twins. And it is an equally tough call to decide which I would rather play with.

Those are truly out of this world.

On SEARING and Twins

The cues are beyond description, finest functional art made.

Most probably know Dennis Searing, I thought I would share a little info that he will probably kill me for:D

Everyone has a Mentor, I believe you will find Dennis had Gus szamboti as his. When Dennis was on West Taft St. he made "Cue Parts" and spent more time talking with Gus on the phone then most of us talk to our parents. I believe Dennis was the last to ever talk to Gus before his passing.

Now, past EAST Taft St. Dennis recieved calls daily from Steve "The Miz" on a cue Dennis was making for him. On CueMaker Time, it was completed and sold to Steve. Dennis was waiting for his comments. They were on the DOWN SIDE (I believe it was about the Irish Linen wrap). Rather then be insulted, Dennis listened to Steve, to make a better cue. Dennis changed it and Steve was like a kid in a candy store. Never saw the man play with any other cue after that.

The cues pictured will someday be deemed priceless, they should be now.

I will neer be close to being as good a Cue Maker as Dennis, but I have a lot of company.:D

Not a bad couple of cues. Its hard to imagine the intense work to make the silver inlay with the ebony inlayed into it.Dennis had on the viewers and the scope to be able to see what he was doing.i know some of the inlay work took 8 plus hours for 1 piece alone.Incredible patience. Some of the ebony is so small that I asked him why he didn't just turn the ebony into dust and then fill in.He thought that would be like cheating.i hate to give dennis kudos but he really earns all the respect he gets.Has to be one of the top CMs out there.
Congrats to Ken & dennis for these beauty's.

I believe TheMarsMan is the proud owner of the twins now. He is a huge collector of Dennis' cues.

Hey AZers,
Thought I would give everyone a Sneak Peek at my pair of SEARING TWINS...
These are the 2 BIGGEST cues Dennis has ever made....
It is also the 1st 8 point cue ever constructed by Dennis..
The pair consist of an 8 point and a 6 point cue..
Both Ebony Forearms with Red Amboya points with veneers..
The 8 point has about 228 inlays and the 6 point about 175 inlays..
Most inlays are trimmed in silver or have silver inserts..
Finishing touches are being done by Dennis...
Enjoy....

How much would cues like these cost from Dennis?

How much would cues like these cost on the secondary market?

PS

Those cues are amazing!

I got a Searing coming someday! Can't wait for my call from Dennis.

"Call Dennis for the Price and NOT here, its huge:eek::grin-square"

Ralf,

I appreciate the attempted assist.

Dennis, is very hard to contact by phone or email. Heck of a nice guy when you are able to reach him. That's why I inquired here for the assistance of the knowledgeable AZ members and owner of the cue.

Not for superfluous minutia.
