wood!

Dennis has spent a lot of time developing the machinery to make cues this intricate. But its the wood that catches my eye. That is some gorgeous natural burl. Did you supply him the wood or is this some of his own stock? I want some.

Now we need pics of the whole thing.

You guys are asking some good questions....
I supplied Dennis with the Red Amboya Burl...

OK, I'm adding the forearm picture to the first post... All added to the original post..

these cues are a testament to desire. the best part is, even after crafting these, Dennis believes he hasn't reached his yet. it's a scary thought that there will be an "upside" to his work. for me it's special because my cue hasn't been made yet!! ;) :D

Never seen a Searing cue that was in the same universe as these two. All I can say is, wow!!!!!! Congrats..................

AMAZING is all I can say! The wait for a Searing is worth every minute of time.
Is the burl a natural occuring stain or was it stained by hand??

That's sweeter than a Michelle Wie flavored tootsie pop!

Hey AZers,
Thought I would give everyone a Sneak Peek at my pair of SEARING TWINS...
These are the 2 BIGGEST cues Dennis has ever made....
It is also the 1st 8 point cue ever constructed by Dennis..
The pair consist of an 8 point and a 6 point cue..
Both Ebony Forearms with Red Amboya points with veneers..
The 8 point has about 228 inlays and the 6 point about 175 inlays..
Most inlays are trimmed in silver or have silver inserts..
Finishing touches are being done by Dennis...
Enjoy....

Looks like the Ken's have hit the Mother Lode! What an awesome pair of cues. The detail and inlay work is flawless...the design is perfect. The wood combinations are awesome.

Dennis has again reached another level in his career.

Congrats Ken and Ken on your new Searing's. I can hardly wait to see them when they're finished.

I agree

I think this definitely puts Dennis way up there, these two with orange crush should be in a museum. He has not only reached another level in his cuemaking but is raising the bar for everyone who is considered as a top-tier custom cuemaker.

My Searing is going to look.... umm... a little "plain" as compared to those...

I still like the OC best, but those babies are just.... wow......

Hey Ken, I saw the cues today....maybe I shouldn't mention the ......"accident", Dennis says he can fix the the Twin's. Well here goes and please try not to get mad, ....... umm ummm.. I was leaning over the cues and I began to...... drool  and ......I drooled all over the Twin's, Dennis like freaked out and said to me "what have I told you about not wearing your drool cup"......ummm... I said you know I didn't do it on purpose:o . So anyway he said he has some like real good industrial cleaner and a grinder..... he said they should be ok.:D

The Twin's are like really gorgeous!!;)

Scott,
That wasn't just your drool on this man's cues. My DNA is mixed in with yours and about fifty other people not to mention the sweat from Dennis fitting those microscopic inlays. You were right about the grinder being the only hope of a drool removal tool. :D

That is a nicer pair than Pamela Anderson's twins. And it is an equally tough call to decide which I would rather play with.

Those are truly out of this world.
